Glizzy kind of over complicates the meta but other than that this game is pretty good, hope to see glizzy get a nerf in the next patch.

After the "New" series of games Mario Wonder is a breath of fresh air, after nearly a decade we finally got a 2D Mario game that manages to ooze absolute charm rather it be the wonder effects, the sound design, the variety of creative enemies you name it. While the "new" series were not bad games they reused a lot of the same designs and mechanics, if you're a fan of Mario or 2D platformers do yourself a favor and give this game a go.

A "cult classic" but also very poorly designed, 2 is much better in every aspect.

I eat Jon, its what I do.

In all seriousness this is probably the worst NES game I have ever had the horrors of laying my eyes upon and playing.

2022

Garfield goes on an adventure, 10/10 GOTY.

Coming off of Yakuza 3 I can already tell you this game is leagues better from a combat perspective alone but it also has a great storyline, the only thing I can really complain about is the design of the final boss being a bit whack but other than that great game and I cant wait to start Yakuza 5.

In terms of a rhythm game it is fun and the gacha seems fair, I love Kasumi Toyama.

I realize the time in which this game came out it was probably amazing but as for it holding up in 2021 it feels a little dated and god the combat is absolutely frustrating as the enemies will just constantly block no matter what you do, the story is good albeit paced a bit strangely and theres a few parts of the game where you'll just have to sit through an information dump to piece together what has been happening because the game just doesn't have time to explain it all through gameplay/cutscene means.

Thusfar i've enjoyed my time as Kiryu being the father figure that he is but also fighting the CIA all at the same time, overall i'd rate this title in the Yakuza series a 7/10 as its not awful but there a few things that keep me from enjoying it.

One of the first Yakuza games using the new Dragon Engine and honestly its phenomenal, plenty of side content to be had and the storyline is good.

If you've played previous Yakuza's play this one too.

Played the game at launch and wasn't really a fan of it and thought it was kind of extremely boring, but fast-forward to 2024 and a really big handful of patches later I find enjoyment out of the game and I think its honestly a guilty pleasure, it is still a free to play gacha at the end of the day so be careful with that, but otherwise give it a try and see if its your thing.

2020

Going into this game I did not know what to expect but its an absolutely charming game from the soundtrack to the battles, by the end of the game it had left me in deep thought that for the sole sake of spoilers I will not elaborate on but if you're into RPG's and really well written stories then this game is probably for you, but do be forewarned that it delves into some pretty heavy topics dealing with depression, suicide, anxiety, ext so if you're prone sensitive to that stuff maybe don't but if you're okay with serious topics then prepare to be in for a ride.

And remember, everything will be okay.

The storyline is absolutely solid and this game is a must play after completing Yakuza 0 but the gameplay feels clunky and dated cough constant gun stuns cough.

As the entry to the Danganronpa series this game isn't bad but it felt like it dragged on to long at some points and I prefer 2 much more.
