Ratchet & Clank RANKED

My persable list of Racket & Clunk games rated from extrubulent to dispairable!

NOTABLE OMISIONS
- Full Frontal Assault. I had bought the game and everything but it just refused to install, though it seems like I'm not missing much.
- Secret Agent Clank. lol no

The guns feel better than ever. It's a miracle of a technical showcase. There were so many visual moments that left my jaw on the floor. Uses the adaptive triggers to great effect.
So many cool new gameplay ideas that all feel great. Really excellent puzzles, which I would never have expected. Giving you the option to just dink around in space to get collectables is entirely my shit. This fills a need that no other Ratchet game does.
Nostalgia hit me like a truck. Didn't love it as much as I did back in the day and a bug left me having to replay the worst part of the game over again, but despite that I still think it's fun.
A lot more padding than I remember. It's one of the more challenging entries which isn't bad. It propels the jarhead-ification of Ratchet which does suck.
The story was pretty dumb but a lot of my appreciation was being in awe of the visuals, going from Deadlocked straight to this. It looks immaculate even now.
I don't put a lot of stock into the writing for this list but it's so boring and jarringly cut that despite the game feeling quite good I can't bring myself to put it any higher.
Every level being structured the exact same wore me down, even for it's short runtime, but the gunplay felt great.
They didn't nail the vision. It looks goofy. Gunplay feels more like a chore than anything. Not having a strafe is unforgivable. This is they typical "first entry has obvious problems that the next game immediately fixes" scenario.
This is the only entry where the performance is really unforgivable. It also feels very much like they wanted at least one more level.
It's dreadfully boring but I can at least conceive a scenario where this can be fun, going through it with three friends who are as willing to slog through such a lifeless game for 10 hours. Not likely, but possible.
I beat it in 3 hours. It cost 15 dollars. I didn't have any weapons for 30 percent of the game. Bad.
There was exactly zero consideration made when translating the game mechanics to handheld. The only one of these I didn't even bother finishing.
