A game that uses it's medium to the maximum. Gotta love a game that uses time to it's advantage.
1
Touhou Luna Nights
Definitely one of the hardest games I've played aside from Katana Zero. Pulling gameplay elements from Bullet Hells and Metroidvanias alike, it creates an unforgettable gameplay experience. Though that last hallway is absolutely garbage.
2
Yume Nikki
Though people have tried, this game cannot be adapted into any other form of media.
3
Umurangi Generation
Jet Set Radio, perfected.
4
GioGio's Bizarre Adventure
One of many throwaway manga based games, though this game is capable of standing on it's own without prior knowledge or context of it's source material.
5
Garou: Mark of the Wolves
A game that anyone can pick up, but nobody can put down.
6
Left 4 Dead 2
A game that somehow forces players to collaborate.
7
Marvel's Spider-Man
Nearly made me shed a tear near the end, it's that good.
8
Devil May Cry 5
A family drama mixed with intense, satisfying combat.
