I'm not a big fighting genre person but this game is so fun and has so much personality! On top of all the unique modes, my favorite being world tour, they've provided so much accessibility to new players. Things like modern controls and a fun open world mode where you can make your own move sets based off of the famous fighters from the game make for such a fun experience. That kind of story mode experience definitely should keep other fighting game franchises in check, as this feels like a logical next step for the franchise, to attract new players, and appeal to old heads too.

With that being said, some of the character redesigns such as Ken and Guile are so ugly and boring to me personally. If you look at Ken's concept art for this game, every single piece looked 10 times better than what we got. I feel so strongly about a lot of the characters' designs that it genuinely affects my feelings for the overall game. Kimberly, Jamie, Manon, Juri, Dee Jay, and Blanka are all character designs that immediately convey their personalities. I absolutely love these characters even though I don't play half of them. But Ken and Guile are downgrades in terms of their designs and characters in my opinion. They are so unbelievably boring looking that I actually despise playing against them. I don't know if any one feels similarly to me in this aspect, and I don't quite know why my feelings are so strong in this area. Overall this game is really really fun, and I'm already really happy with Rashid's trailer, as he is just dripping with personality, I want to pick him up when he comes out.

Probably the best first person shooter ever. Fast paced, action packed, and filled with potential for mastery. I've beaten all of the game's content on ultra-nightmare difficulty, and it was an extremely challenging but fair experience. The music slaps and motivates you to keep setting fire to, slicing, shooting, and obliterating every demon in your path. An expertly crafted game of combat chess with an addicting gameplay loop. Surprisingly deep and interesting lore if you care about it, and unbelievable environments. I could go on about this banger forever.

The Calamity mod redefines what a mod for a video game can be. While other great mods for Terraria like Thorium and Spirit seek to enhance the original experience, this content mod does it's own thing entirely.

I have played this mod on every difficulty up to death mode, and as every class, including Calamity's own rogue class. The boss battles added by this mod are extremely challenging and ask the player to "learn the dance" much like monster hunter or any good soulslike. The post-moonlord content in this game is fair but incredibly difficult on higher difficulties.

The roadmap for this mod appears daunting as a player. I hope that the devs are able to deliver their promises as they've been doing, I'd love to see some of the things they want to do, such as new dimensions, and two more endgame bosses. Some of the resprites and revamps of old early game armor sets have already been really exciting to see.

I look forward to more updates. Even in the state it's in currently, this mod has it's own lore, incredible music, memorable bosses, items, and gorgeous biomes. I love this community, and I love the boundaries this mod is pushing. It challenges our preconceived notions for what a mod can be.

Vine boom sound effect mods have their place as funny jokes and gimmicks, but this is the type of mod that new games are made in inspiration of. I cannot recommend this experience enough. Nerf old duke
