Yikes! This is truly awful. This game could've been a lot better but the game really feels like it was still in development when it was released. The gameplay is rough as heck. This game is just the complete opposite of smooth. The fighting is not good and it lags so much and barely even does any damage. The music is also terrible. It is painful to listen to and so are the voices. The sound itself is also just bad. There's nothing good about this game. It's one of, if not the worst game I've played.

Super Mario World is one of my all-time favorite video games, so a sequel with Yoshi, my favorite character in this franchise, in the lead seems like it would be right up there with my favorites. I was a bit disappointed. It's a well made game with amazing graphics and controls, solid directing, great narrative, and really everything it needs to be a phenomenal platformer. My problems are really in how long these levels are and it hurts the pacing and how entertained I can be for a certain amount of time. The first game had the perfect length for each level which allowed me to binge half the game in one session, while here I struggled to get through over half a world in one. There are some great levels, but once one of those comes up a frustrating one is after it. The boss fights are easily the best parts of the game with very unique fights and highlights in the series. The problem with that though is to get to these highlights you have to go through obnoxiously long and repetitive levels! I do think it does interesting things like the egg throwing and other new additions. Yoshi's Island is one of those games that I respect with it's graphics, impact, and overall quality but the entertainment value, pacing, and repetitiveness in some of the levels bring my enjoyment down. I'm still happy this exists, just didn't enjoy it as much as I wanted to.

After seeing Dunkey's review of this and hearing about recycled mechanics in Mario Galaxy, I thought that before I played that game I'd play this. Jungle Beat was a fun DK adventure that did something new, but I feel like it was missing something to make it a great. I'm not entirely sure what it is. Maybe more levels, more variety, better controls, I'm not sure. But I just feel like it was a little empty at times. I did enjoy using the motion controls, especially in boss fights as it added something new to the franchise. Overall I felt like the game could've been a bit better, but I still thought Jungle Beat was a fun entry in the DK franchise! I'd recommend checking it out if you love motion controls.

A very good Mario platformer but not my favorite of those first four. It has amazing levels and a lot of great bosses, but it has it's problems. I think some of the levels are very short and it takes too long to start getting more challenging. Those first 4 levels are a breeze with how easy and short they are, then you start getting a bit of a challenge in world 5. I also HATED the side scrolling. The side scrolling is super slow and most of the time I was standing there doing nothing because I was waiting for the screen to move. I also thought that the fortress boss (the guy who drops the question mark ball) was too repetitive and they didn't need that many fortresses for this game. Despite all that it's very fun. The worlds are all unique and Bowser's minions are awesome. It's a lot of fun to get through and the Bowser boss fight is very clever. The end is extremely redeeming when you beat the game, even though it's pretty easy. I like it, just not as much as a lot of other people.

I beat this on the day the movie came out! Anyway this is honestly an improvement on the first! The boss fights have more variety, the controls feel smoother, and it feels more grounded. The story flows better and that gave me more motivation to keep playing. I liked the structure of it where it felt more like an actual story than moving from zone to zone like the first. I still really love the first game and loved that format, but I liked this better. I didn't expect to like this game more but somehow I did. The final boss is a bit underwhelming but it's still fun to play. The ending felt a bit ambiguous but I still liked it. I wish there was one more level after the final boss just with how the game was going after that but overall it's still a lot of fun. It's more fun with the Rescue Rangers and for that I owe it a lot!

Spider-Man is one of my favorite games of all-time, but this was my first time playing the remastered version. The remaster honestly makes the original game better with graphic updates and I felt the game ran a bit smoother on PS5 than on PS4. Everything about this game just screams masterpiece to me. It absolutely nailed the combat as Spider-Man with really agile maneuvers, web gadgets, skills, and the additional moves you can do. Swinging also feels excellent and being in this epic interpretation of NYC is amazing. It's unfortunately the home of the Rangers and Islanders, but it's the setting of this awesome game so silver linings! The story is also the greatest film/game adaptation we've seen for the character, with basically every detail being handled perfectly. I just love this game so much, and I can't wait to finally play Spider-Man 2!!

I find this game to be a lot of fun. I can pretty much do anything with all the characters I love. Favorite game period.

WOW! This is a great game. It has great parkour and adventure for all around fun. It's got great stages to challenge you and then the controls and gameplay are fantastic. Highly recommend!

I really really enjoyed this game. It has a low score on here but I think it should be higher. I thought the game was a lot of fun and I enjoyed the characters in the game. I really liked playing as Nathan Drake. He was a really strong protagonist and a lot of fun to play as. Elena and Sully were great side characters too. The pacing in this works well. It goes quickly but not too quick. It let's us spend time in certain areas to gather information to move forward in the adventure. It gives time to explain things and it uses it's time wisely. The cutscenes are all at the perfect length and I thought that when you were playing it had the right amount of combat and exploration. A common complaint in this is that there is too much shooting and less exploration than the following installments, but I didn't mind that. I thought that there was a lot of suspense in the constant combat and that's the point of the game. You're stranded and people are hunting you. That's what it says in the Backloggd description. Whether you are fighting mercenaries or another type of enemy that I won't spoil, there is a lot of suspense, and horror with the other enemy, to make that combat a lot of fun. The constant combat makes sense with the story of you being trapped, and I really like that story. It's a lot of fun and you want to learn more about what is happening so it gives you the draw in for the game immediately as you start playing, and it gives you a lot of interesting mystery to figure out. There are a lot of visual details to help you solve the mystery, and this would've been a lot harder without the visually striking graphics. The production design looks great and I enjoyed spending time on this island and lost city through this story. The characters also look ahead of their time for 2007. This game looks the same as Black Ops 1, and that came out 3 years later. The locations in the game are another thing to talk about. I loved the various locations in the game. They brought character and they were memorable making this game even more enjoyable to play. Some people say the game is boring, but I disagree. I think the game has excellent pacing, striking graphics, fun characters, an investing story, interesting mystery and a lot more to make this one of my favorite video games. I'm extremely excited for the sequels to this!

A truly amazing platform game! It's very short, but it's great!

I like the general concept of it but the soundtrack is only average and I don't like the gray thing pushing the blocks up. I get it's to speed up the game but I would prefer people lose from poor placements of blocks instead of being rushed out. Other than that it's a lot of fun and I'll return to it if I want a more intense game of Tetris.

The maze gets a bit chaotic which is my only problem with it, but man the soundtrack is great and it's so much fun to play. Pacman is perfect with this battle Royale and I hope that Nintendo makes this 99 game for Dig Dug, Super Mario Bros, Galaga, Q-Bert, etc.

Street Fighter III starts off with a great game! I think the fighting is as good as it can get with this franchise (well, a little under Street Fighter Alpha 3). It has everything great I've said about previous installments in the franchise. My only issues with this game are the sound, music, and lack of fighters in the roster. Other than that, it's great!
