Spynine01 reviewed S&box
This game is made by the developers of GMOD, and is still in a pretty early state to even review. I did enjoy what I played with it though.

This game is meant to be more of a hub for creators to create stuff in, rather than what GMOD was with creating your own experience to toy around in, that being said you can still have the same experience with GMOD in the future, it's just not available right now in its very very very early access state. I'm keen to see how this game improves and changes in the future.

Spynine01 completed Melody's Escape 2
I don't think I've played enough of it to say what it can do, and its still a game in early access, but it does its job well. This is a procedural generated rhythm game that generates a level based on the MP3s or other audio files you insert into the game.

I believe this game used to be a pretty bad sequel, but it has had tons of improvements and has such improved the perception of the game, I've not played it at its worst so I cannot judge it then, but what I play now is a perfectly acceptable version of the game. I don't think I'd play this much, I'm not sure why I got it even, but I enjoyed it and it was an alright experience. The pacing of this game can go weird though, as the character can randomly go from as slow as a snail to suddenly running an Olympic level sprint, but that's just some quirks of the song detection I guess.

Overall I don't think I'd really recommend getting this game as of now, I think there are various other different games that fulfill the same purpose as what this shows, just without a random anime-esque girl completing a parkour course, but it's still a perfectly fine game.

I don't have much to say really. Peggle is fun. It's good. Would recommend. The rush you get from finishing a level can be insane. That crab is a war criminal.

Spynine01 played You Have 10 Seconds 3
I'm not sure why this does not show up in the search nor does it have an icon but this is a continuation of the series of You Have 10 Seconds. As you can guess, you have 10 seconds to finish a quick puzzle in the game before heading to the next level. There are 10 levels in a world, and each world slowly adds new and new abilities to get you more mechanics and depth to a platforming puzzle game. I enjoyed the puzzles and quick paced nature of this game, as it really was a rush to just beat the level with like 1 second left and such. I still prefer the 2nd game but I think I'm just biased with how much I replay that and just prefer it. This game also feels much slower??? Im not sure why but it does feel slower than the previous game, which is probably a speed change. It's still perfectly playable, and if you wish to buy this game, I'd recommend trying the prequels which are available for free beforehand so you can understand what you're getting and if you would enjoy it or not

The game has gotten a remaster that I just... didn't enjoy as much. I understand the lore that has gotten added in order to match with their sequel which I hope is a better game, but this time around the game was just not a fun experience to go through.

It has gotten patched now but there were no saves before, so you had to beat the game in one sitting, which it isn't a long game so it's fine but I really just preferred going through the game at my pace. It would also have an annoying pause menu bug where I couldn't get it off my screen no matter what, so I was forced to restart the game everytime, and back when there were no saves, this was a huge headache.

The gameplay also somehow has become more intensive on my system? I'm not sure how but it does struggle to reach 60 FPS now, which it was fine before the remaster. Then there's the obvious part which is that it's now paid, while I love the original game, and people who got the original game for free also get this remaster for free, but it's just not something I'd recommend. They do still patch it and I hope they iron out all the issues that exist in this remaster, because as it is, the original 2016 version is the superior one.

I'm not sure I'd recommend buying it as it is now, if it were still a free game I'd definitely recommend you that or if it were even the previous game itself, but since its now bundled with the remaster you cant even play the free version for free as you now have to buy the game to get access to both versions.

Spynine01 completed The Fancy Pants Adventures: Classic Pack
This is my childhood game, so I'm gonna be a bit biased with saying how much I love this game. This game is a flash game getting remastered, I played world 1 and 2 a LOT of times as a kid, so seeing them being purchasable was amazing to help support the devs who helped me enjoy my time as a kid browsing through the web.

Fundamentally as it is, the movement is just a bit sluggish, but the game is getting constantly updated as it is, and World 3 doesn't have 60 FPS support yet, which for some might be a bummer but it is on the way so hopefully by the time anyone sees this it's already out. These are however pretty short experiences if you don't wish to go and 100% the worlds, as they can be completed in a matter of minutes due to the fast paced nature of the game, if you feel like that's a deal breaker to you then I wouldn't get it, but mainly due to nostalgia and the love I have for these games I'd recommend getting them from my side, to help support the devs and to just enjoy the series I played as a kid.

Spynine01 reviewed Enter the Gungeon
Decicied to play this on PC at a friend's house, and its remarkable just how good the game is, even after playing it for so long. This was probably one of my first roguelikes I can remember playing, and back in the day I never gave it much of a thought as I didn't really understand what the game was, but when I got the game for myself I truly understood what it's like to engage and keep improving upon what you already built in.

As the fundamentals of all rogue-likes work, your death isn't the end, its just another beginning. With a lot, and I truly mean A LOT, of items that are present in the game (that I'd have to search on google because the sheer amount of items that exist is just insane, the gungeon wiki is a blessed place) every time I played the game it felt like a new experience. Theres a good amount of bosses to learn, lots of different enemy types, and the amount of items just adds to the chaos. The different playable characters are also a nice touch, as each of them have their own advantages and starting weapons to help with. The final floor is truly the most challenging, as if you are not prepared with your ammo and guns, it would be the worst ending to a run, but finishing the floor is probably one of the most insane experiences I've ever had with a game like this.

There's also coop in this game, as I mentioned playing this at a friends place, the coop is local only as far as I can tell, but you can probably set up remote play and make it work, and the coop is a really fun experience too, the enemies do get buffed to match up with the 2 players, and there's a unique ending if you DO manage to beat the game with 2 players (assuming you know how to get the true ending) which makes it a worthwhile experience if you enjoy the game. I personally did and I still play this from time to time, just to get that rush again, and rainbow chest mode cause lol.

Spynine01 completed Marvel's Spider-Man 2
Spider-Man 2 does a lot of improvements to its sequel that cannot be ignored, its scale and handling of boss battles being impactful for once, with its unique variety and dialogue, and the big point, its swinging mechanics. It's newly added speed and variety of tricks is a very fun experience to swing through new york city as Spider-Man, and doing the loop de loop made me feel like a kid again, not so much when I'd accidentally hit a building and die though.

But I'll say that the story is a stepdown from the original, but I feel like with the way they handled it and knowing how so many things got canned, it could have been a much better experience, in story and gameplay. The story is not as personal I'd say as the first one, it tries its best with the symbiote arc, and it did get me hooked, but the duration of the arc is probably what didn't connect as much. Playing as MJ was also fine this time around as it basically just turned into a resident evil game, its an improvement over the first's boring stealth sections that I wish were skippable in the original, and a much needed improvement as you'd wanna be focus on playing as Spider-Man rather than MJ.

Overall I'd recommend this game if you're a fan of Spider-Man, you may not like what the story entails or how they handled venom, but I feel like you will still enjoy the gameplay experience that it delivers, by truly making you feel, like Spider-man

Spynine01 reviewed Portal 2
Portal 2 is a remarable successor and sequel to the original portal, it improves upon the original game in almost every single way that you'd think such a game wouldn't even be possible. Its core gameplay remains the same, you have a portal gun and solve a puzzle, but its unique mechanics in each puzzle room is what gives it depth, and this game keeps improving upon that core concept by adding new and new mechanics to get you hooked and keep learning, while also not being so hard that you'd be frustrated in trying to do it again, its a very unique experience in how it handles its level design, and I quite frankly hold it to a very high standard.

The story is what unexpectedly caught my attention, its charming wit that ages well to this day and is also what I feel like the spark for what was "2012 humor" as this game is a once in a lifetime experience I don't think they could ever improve upon, which shows as Valve refuses to touch this IP in a normal format again. I love this game and would love more, but I am ultimately fine with this being its ending. its aged beautifully graphically and its music is still peak to this day. The part where he kills you is still, shockingly, the part where he kills you.

And that's not even talking about the co-op part. The co-op was very well thought-out with puzzles that actually were solvable by 2 dumb human beings (me and my friend). I do feel like this might have been the direction they were planning to go on before just scrapping it but I could be wrong. The co-op is something you must experience with a friend if you're a fan of portal, as it can be insanely fun and just as frustrating if he decides to keep throwing you in the damn acid.

10/10 would definitely recommend to give this a shot.

Spynine01 reviewed Shadow of the Colossus
This is one of my favorite games ever made. I do understand how people feel as this remaster does change things artistically from the original PlayStation 2 version, but I feel like the game's graphical uplift does have its own charm too.

The game is visually phenomenal and its gameplay is pretty much the same as the original, there's no changes to anything as far as I know. The story and gameplay is the exact same. I think the only changes that exist might be some trophy changes, which I wouldn't be able to tell as I never played the PS3 version.

But I love this game dearly, and the experience I had with this game was one I could really only have once. Each boss was a giant scale battle where I had to really think about what my next move would be, understanding their patterns and just the scale of everything left me in awe. Knowing this was a PlayStation 2 game made me appreciate it even more. Its story, despite being a silent one, still made me very invested.

I would recommend this game to anyone who has a PlayStation 4, just to experience this and to understand how video games can truly be art.
