So this is the famous Solid Snake game everyone talks about “the greatest video games of all time”. It’s good….nothing crazy but just good. Definitely a step in the right direction and I look forward to seeing how these games progress since this is the first time I’m playing them.
The story is definitely a huge step into the right direction and the stealth mechanics are a 3D perspective vs the MSX versions which is a good step in the right direction but MAN this feels like a movie rather than a game. Not bad at all, just needs to be cut down in the storytelling.
For a 90s game, this is a great game and a huge step forward for storytelling in video games besides games like Final Fantasy VII and The Legend of Zelda, definitely a good grounded foundation for that.

As far as story goes, this is a pretty good entry. But as in terms of gameplay and everything else, it’s definitely different but nothing to right home about.
Don’t get me wrong this was a “SOLID” entry for sure, but I’m not too crazy about it like most people would consider this a masterpiece. Sure.

I know for a game like this, it’s definitely needs multiple playthroughs but honestly for what I got, I think it’s pretty damn good from start to finish story wise (for my playthrough at least).
I was very skeptical in the beginning with the REALLY bad voice acting and very hilarious prologue, but as the game progressed, I was very into the story, picking and choosing the best path to go about this.
As a script writer myself, I was going off of how I see this being a film, and I feel like a lot of people really enjoy that feeling of choosing and coming up with the best route to play this game. This is definitely an experience and I can’t wait to check out the other games Quantic Dream.

Y’all really not like this one? Honestly I like this one more than Heavy Rain, with a few minor exceptions.
Besides some nonlinear gameplay and some buggy mechanics, this is a step in the right direction that I can get behind. While Heavy Rain is more story driven, this one is more gameplay driven as in cleaning up what Heavy Rain was trying to do but with a more cinematic approach.
The acting is awesome too, William DaFoe and Elliot Page are fantastic, and I really think the story, while not completely nonlinear, definitely gives more emotional depth for Jodie’s character and for the player to control her choices.

Again, similar to the other two David Cage games, you have to play it multiple times to get the right endings. Unfortunately with this play through for the first time, I got a mixed bag of absolute chaos 😂
As a whole, Detroit Becomes Human is a very dark and grim look at racism as well as a holocaust background at times. Probably THE darkest game of his! I think gameplay and story have significantly improved but this one is a matter of how you play it cause my playthrough was ROUGH!😅
Overall, a very well done game! Super interesting collection of games.
