everything about this game is kinda stupid, but ultimately charming. 2000s anime-reverence, the humor of epic potato nyancat millennials, poorly optimized on flash, annoying premium subscription, nickle and diming from artix himself. however, its that oldschool runescape brainworm type shit and a one of a kind experience. that i wouldn't go through today because a ttwo button tab target flash MMO is boring in the modern and day and was boring 15 years ago without a subscription lmao

2010

relatively good characters and writing but an underwhelming narrative sometimes. genuinely some of the worst gameplay a person can be exposed to. this makes ds1's og pc port look like dmc3. do not be gaslit into playing this fucking port, even if father nier is way better than the generic FF twink nier

the unfolding of the year. and now our season is here. all the balances are clear

now that our time is here

holy fuck. imagine making this cool ass combat system and a half decent world with absolutely great visuals... only to fucking strangulate and brutalize your title, leaving it paralyzed from the neck down so the team could work on sonic. fucking sonic. are you serious?

rebecca gooners and and people that have more watch-time than playtime will gaslight you into thinking this game was always good. i still remember when this was supposed to be deus ex + witcher 3 or something. why the fuck did i trust the devs or the witcher franchise? the fucking reddit action rpg that got panned on launch for having a shit storyline and combat? i dunno man, but hey, it's not good!

diablo 2 fans will say this isn't the greatest ARPG of alltime. we call this a classic case of living in denial

a scrapped narrative and being a fraction of what was originally intended by tis creative its only a slight stain on easily one of the greatest worlds in gaming, with its only real competition being Azeroth and the Lands in-Between. deceptively deep, unbelievably godtier exploration, one of the most memorable soundtracks in the series, one of the best combat systems in the series--this is the REAL FF11/FF12/FF13 successor. forget miqo'te, get yourself a wrothian.

absolutely strange, sometimes broken and not well-thought-out but absolutely akinda-revolutionary arena fighter.

the redditor's MMO. a hybrid action MMO with all the auditory and visual feedback of slapping around warm butter in an old, crumply sock, combined together was a completely unengaging, boring fucking story that doesn't live up to its previous titles. watered down class mixing that doesn't live up to its several-million combination multiclassing system; legitimately more ugly than heavensward with a bad reshade preset; extremely obtuse to the point where its own fans will not actually want to explain anything to you and will tell you to use the ingame wiki commands to automatically open something on your browser, and you're left with left with a game taking the worst parts of its predecessor and horizontal-mmos like OSRS and combining them into one "we have absolutely nothing better to play these days" package. thank god they're authorizing guild wars 3, because hopefully they can make a good game at launch this time.

it's a good game held back by dumbasses. shit balance where 80% of things are completely worthless, unfun design ideas (fucking quadruple cooldowns when you guys are saying you want people to rely on call-downs more often? for difficulties that have exclusive materials needed to complete parts of the game? really?), an absolutely cringe wholesome reddit chungus chud keanu community? no actual endgame beyond "what if we spawned 20x more special enemies that're immune to half the guns in the game"? like man, whew

the absolute inane design that went into this game that was never fixed. its no wonder the oxygen-deprived fans of this game will tell you it has a good story or that the content is great because they're as lobotomized as zenimax online. enjoy your epileptic fit rotation while you get ganked by a dragonborn rogue sorcerer

imagine having a cool premise and a bunch of interesting systems and just not expanding on it all and basically telling your fans to do the same things over and over again with no actual variation. thats pretty much DRG and each time you play the game, its about as different as different types of corona

listen to me. its the xenogears of the series. has some of the best writing that setups the entire franchise including its themes, aesthetics, motifs, and a ton of other stuff. its often criticized for an outdated battle system and exploration newcomers often don't understand at all. its absolutely arcane and expansive, and shit clicks into place the more you know about the universe and setting around it. this would literally be considered one of the greatest JRPGs up there with EP, XG, XS3, SJ, and all that other shit if kids could understand subtext. but guess what? gen alpha and gen z are the most learning-delayed since the fucking lead-paint eating babyboomers, and good fucking god does it show with modern persona fans barely being able to read their own fucking games.

god i feel so bad for the fact three rings had such a godtier fucking idea during the f2p p2w dying-PC gaming era while they were owned by fucking SEGA. like holy shit, what awful fucking luck.

UGC. housing. fun open world PVP. fun PVE (after a certain point). an explosive community at launch. a great atmosphere. and nexon fumbled this. genuinely hope the next person who crashes their car into nexon HQ isn't using standard petroleum
