good just good,
i play it because of the variety of characters to play as
and playing against someone else

I use Blaze a lot, but when you are rank 4000 and up, you get matched up by level 10 and up with common characters

time waster but fun

I finished the game on PC finally after finishing Sonic Adventure DX, I owned the original game in Dreamcast during it's release back in the day, I can only recall a vague memory like playing only up to around where Tails on the pyramid stage and Rouge on the moon stage and never bother finishing it after my little brother lost my VMU with the save.

What I can definitely say is that I really loved playing this game, the development team really did things right from Sonic Adventure then imporved on it really well, The design is hokey to laughably hokey serious themes brings a certain charm to it. The dynamic of each character in the really presents them well and is placed well regardly in the story character wise. Levels are well designed and distinguish recognizably well as it's own, Layouts are well recycled like if you try to play as Sonic, the levels with Shadow are the same level but with a different approach and level layout. The same can be said when comparing other characters with their respective counterparts.

Sonic and Shadow levels are fast paced, I feel like this game was too advanced for a Dreamcast platform it's really planned and developed. I was very much surpised they bring back the magnet cylinder platform from the classics and really translated well into 3D, I can really imagine QA effort on fixing those parts. These types of levels are my favorite and I think fans of this game will also say the same.

Tails and Eggman levels are basically just target and shoot levels ala Gamma playthrough in Sonic Adventure 1, I enjoy it's length of the level just breezing through the levels with the level's charming design puzzles and what not like gliding in from a tall platform etc. it doesn't overstay it's welcome but I think developers also thought about that and then decided to make these levels have some bonus areas to explore when going back to these levels will all the power up abilities are achieved by the player.

Knuckles and Rouge these are Scavenging levels just like playing as Knuckles in Sonic Adventure 1. These levels really overstays it's at times when I get a feeling of frustration and just search back and forth and notice time is already nearing 30 minutes. The most amazing level I saw in these types of level is the Space levels, it feels like, again, too advanced for Dreamcast platform with how big the level is for the player to explore.

Story for this game is really hokey most of the time but that is it's charm. I have grown to like the Edge that Shadow brings like it's edgy funny and I wouldn't want it to change it about him. One thing i don't like about this probably is the mocap animation, it really feels to see their in their anthromorphic 3d models, it doesn't feel right.

Bonus gameplay for this one, is the Chao Garden and I feel like this is the feature that will keep me going back and play this game for a very long time. Chao s are really cute and I've been thinking of getting one custom made, that's how cute these Chao s are

I think this is the game that has been cemented being arguably the best 3D Sonic game there is, that it has put fans' expectation way too high to achieve when there is a new Sonic game being made.

I played this alot back then, especially Sonic The Hedgehog 3. I recently I played it again due to some videos recommended to me and some piqued my curiosity as Sonic The Hedgehog 3 may never be re-released in future and all the interesting facts they show.

Playing Sonic 3 AIR is really the definitive way of playing Sonic 3 and Knuckles no doubt, with features that you can imagine if Christian Whitehead devs would do a Sonic the Hedgehog 3 port of the game. Widescreen and all the possible cut content being intergrated into this port of the game

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 really takes me back, seemless gameplay design of the Sonic series, the easiest entry in the series, sounds and music that is memorable and pleasing to the ears. interesting mechanics that kept young me coming back for more even though I will probably be stuck in the Carnival Zone not knowing that Up and Down direction is all takes to progress in the game back then

To this day, I have shunned the series from playing any Sonic games until recently due to the notoriety of the Sonic fanbase. Sonic 3 the game that I love and I shut it out from my life for years until recently. I don't have any fond memories about Sonic and Knuckles since I only got to borrow it for like 2 weeks I think back then but it's a nice experience to finally play both games finally
