a game i started as a kid and finally finished after the sequel announcement, incredibly unique and innovative physics game. its funny and weirdly topical at times and overall really excellent, if a bit repetitive in gameplay. i built a lot of towers.

an excellent new 2d mario, super unique and beautiful. level design is awesome, music is perfect, and new powerups and movement options are super cool. its easy though, aside from some throwaway hard levels after the credits

has a lot of great going for it but muddies the waters through the saving mechanics and combat being incredibly frustrating. i haven't yet plyed the sequel but i heard it fixes these which is exciting. the level design was usually pretty great and the movement is really fun, but it seems like it can't really decide what game it is with the metroidvania aspects but super linear gameplay.
