I think this was the most disappointed I've ever been with a game

the more time passes the more I realize that the main game kinda suffered by trying to balance both regular and vehicle gameplay. now that there's only one style to focus on this is actually mega fun. if I could only play one version of superchargers I would go with this one no question

skylanders could've ended here and I think everyone would've been satisfied

oh how times change. this was the shit for me in 2014-15. I thought the insane amount of characters made this some top tier stuff. but now I'm just overwhelmed by how many I have and how fucked up the pacing is lol

I say this as someone who played all of the skylanders games religiously back when the franchise was relevant

I'm pretty content with this being the only one I regularly go back to nowadays

this game gave us pop fizz. I think that's all you need to know

holy shit there is a land in the sky

how is this of all things the best example of a remake that captures the spirit of the original while also being humble enough to tell it's audience "yeah some stuff sucked before, but we're gonna change that"

it's probably better that they put so much focus into just this one game rather than revamping the whole trilogy. they had all the time they needed to make this a gold standard for remakes

I have more hours logged into this game throughout my childhood than any mario kart I've played

this game is like that one weird kid in class. everyone tries to avoid him but if you just go up and have a little chat, you might find something worth loving

this was the true start of my life as a gamer and tbf I can't thank it enough for that. to this day it still has a lot of what I look for in a platformer, and also games in general, so that's pretty swanky if I do say so myself

this game rocks, I'd love to 100% it someday

I felt a special level of emotional closure when I played this after an entire childhood of only ever playing 2 and 3

I guess it's technically better but not nearly as memorable or cozy

I have too much nostalgia for this game to rank it any lower

I didn't think they would come so close to topping the alola games so soon but here we are. give us better performance and fashion options, some few touchups here and there, and this is the best pokemon game. I'm not exaggerating. speaking as a guy who isn't super into open worlds, it makes such perfect sense for pokemon and the amount of goals to work towards feels just right. not too overwhelming, but not too empty either. shoutout to the character roster too, this is actually the best one out there
