this game seemingly had potential but it was so quick and ended on a cliffhanger it felt like a demo rather than an actual game, would've changed the ratings if maybe there was more cases, more gameplay elements (that are not just typical vn choices) and more sprite animations because there were only few repeating sprites it made the game boring. MC also had a cocky attitude it made him annoying.

it felt pretty boring but i enjoyed solving ken's math problems.
also orion is very cute but he's too talkative i cant help but find him annoying sometimes

The game is great, i think it's my favorite from the entire franchise. However the story mode feels too short. The cutscenes are great and well animated, the OST is great and befitting. But the actual battles feels boring. After all you only fight 2 or 3 teams before proceeding to the boss saiki and then ash, only the bosses were fun to fight, the rest felt repeated and boring.
Overall great story and characters, ash had very nice writing and twist. But the gameplay could have been improved.
