They really did just put 0 effort into making a somewhat good ending

Also Map Bot was by far the scariest jumpscare in the game, none of the other jumpscares even come close to it

Also was that Afton alive in the ending or was it Glitchtrap possessing him, or are these two separate entities now, either way it’s just really dumb

There’s a lot to just not like about this game, but overall I still liked it, recommend to anyone who can get their hands on it..........well, on sale or form somebody, I wouldn’t spend $40 again

I said it in my review of the first game, and I’ll say it again here

All the shit talking I have said to this game throughout these past two years………….I take all of it back

Has some problems, don’t particularly like the Ubisoft open world structure this game uses, and while the story is phenomenal, some parts do go a bit too fast

But otherwise, it’s a beautiful game

10/10 story, but the gameplay is just decent at best and pretty boring at times

Only real complaint was the overuse of nostalgia.......aside from the final boss one, that was excellent

I must be a crazy motherfucker cause I actually liked the island part of the game more than the castle part

Edit: also I’ll probably take a break from this series for the moment, don’t want to experience fatigue with it.

This game has now put the fear of god in the words “Kiryu-Chan”

Need i say more

It’s a masterpiece

July 21st 2023, many people called it Barbenheimer day, but some others saw it as a different day, Barbminheimer day, because after a ten year long wait Pikmin 4 was finally unleashed, and what a game it is.

Pikmin 4 is incredible, it once again increases the scale from the previous game, but in a MUCH larger way, there’s more variety in everything with all the treasures, many enemies new and old are here too, it’s all so much bigger, and so much better.

This game is two things, a culmination of everything from the previous games nearly fully realized in one game, and it’s also a spiritual successor to Pikmin 2 (much like how 3 was to 1).
This game has everything, big natural worlds to explore akin to Pikmin 1 and 3, many multilayered caves spread throughout the worlds like in Pikmin 2, and it’s also got a plethora of new things, like a brand new camera angle that puts more of a focus on your character while also making the world look even larger, and of course Oatchi, I like Oatchi.
Another thing I do love is that Louie is straight up just the main villain, at least in the second half of the game, it’s really funny, and the fact that unlike in Pikmin 2 where you don’t know if he’s controlling the final boss or if he’s not, in this game he just straight up is controlling it, or at least actively using it to harm you, shit is very funny.

Ok I know this review seems pretty rushed, but like man, I just adore this game so much, it definitely has its problems, bosses aren’t nearly as epic in scale as they were in 3 (though Groovy Long Legs and the ancient sirehound are phenomenal bosses), auto lock can definitely get annoying, but man, I just adore this game, go play it.

Final chapter is nothing but testosterone and I love it

Pikmin!

I’ve always been interested in playing this series, and shit there’s no better time than now to get into this series, with the release of Pikmin 1 and 2 on switch, Pikmin 3 deluxe already existing, and with Pikmin 4 just a few weeks away, Pikmin mania is here and it’s time for others to join.
Pikmin 1 is a short and sweet adventure, it’s a game full of life, wonder, and Pikmin getting massacred in the wild, seriously this game may look relaxing, but it’s the exact opposite, it’s a game about time management, being stranded on a planet and your only means of defense being little carrot looking creatures that come out of an onion.
The gameplay loop of Pikmin is very satisfying, the simple act of building up your army and slowly but surely getting the pieces to Olimar’s ship is super fun all the way through.
The enemies all have great designs, they’re very cute looking until they fucking eat or crush or throw your Pikmin, then they’re terrifying, the bosses are also pretty fun, admittedly kinda easy but they look pretty cool and can actually kill a ton of Pikmin if you’re careless.
The game’s whole nature setting adds to the game very well, the areas being kinda connected through a whole forest theme makes the world feel very real and layered.

Not much else to say, it’s a fun little game that can be very stress inducing at times, especially if you’re running out of time and are not very close to the ship, but it’s a very solid introduction to this franchise

Now onto Pikmin 2

Replaying all the games again to prepare for Ragnarok

Idk what I was smoking a year ago, this game is fucking awesome

Great game!

Boss fights were mid though

I played on hard so I could get the secret phase on the final boss, and all I got was the stupid space invaders mini game they had earlier in the game

But aside from that, I’m pretty happy with this game overall, it’s finally nice to get a good sonic game that doesn’t have absolute cringe dialogue

Oh my god, I fucking love this game
