The foundation for something interesting is here, but the execution is pretty awful. For one, the presentation is sub-par. I think the ship design and layout is pretty cool, but the character models creep into uncanny-valley territory. Voice acting is really hit-or-miss as well. The gameplay is lacking: gunplay is very basic and clunky a lot of the time, the inventory system is extremely convoluted for no reason, and its hard to keep track of your relationship standings with everyone on the ship at times. And then, at the end, the game leaves a bad taste in your mouth by cutting the game short right when its about to get interesting, and advertising the sequel instead. Just makes this game feel like one big ad, which is not a good look. Like I said, there are some interesting concepts here, and I think the story they were trying to tell is engaging at a base level, but the team really needed to rein their focus in to just the dialogue/relationship mechanics, because way too much time was spent on the other aspects of gameplay that are genuinely not good. The game did not make me actually angry, but it definitely left a lot to be desired.

I was genuinely shocked by how much I ended up enjoying this game, it feels like such a sleeper hit. Gorgeous visuals that create an incredible atmosphere and vibe, super likeable characters, with Nico really shining through, an emotional story that had me invested throughout its entirety - it really was just a wonderful time. And that was how I felt after playing just the FIRST HALF of the game. Doing Solstice afterwards just cemented in my mind that this was an incredible game.

If I had to make ONE minor complaint, it's just that sometimes it is unclear which items in the world can be picked up/interacted with, which can sometimes hinder progression as that is pretty much the main way to move the game forward. But any confusion I had was solved pretty quickly, and I was too enraptured by the game to let it negatively affect my thoughts about it. Everyone should give this game a shot!

This game looks really pretty, with amazing pixel art, but it's barely a game at all. Extremely short, with super generic gameplay and no real obstacles. Just light platforming while exploring a map for items to collect. It's not bad, but it is very simple. Quite nice to look at, though.

I think this game looks really good, obviously, but the gameplay could have been better. It's a bit unintuitive at times, and gets pretty repetitive, but the game is short enough that it's not really an issue. Of course, the characters and their personalities/designs are the highlight, and make the game worth playing on its own. Just a bit disappointed with the execution of gameplay. And I did tire of listening to the same song over and over again pretty quickly. But it's well-made, and I had a good time overall.

Horror games aren't really my thing, but this game is made well and provides a very solid atmosphere, while also being unique in both design and gameplay. A short experience, but definitely a solid one.

A fun experience that subverts expectations and messes with the player in some fun and unique ways. If you want to experience everything you'll really have to go out of your way to do so, and how to do so is not very obvious at times. Cool art, okay gameplay that serves its purpose well enough, and a pretty nice soundtrack.

Hands down the best farming sim you will ever play, genre-defining for a reason. Everything about Stardew Valley is expertly crafted: the visuals, the music, the gameplay, the characters - it all comes together so effortlessly to create a game that is extremely addicting and fun. On top of it all, its very affordable, and the game is regular updated with new content FOR FREE all the time. It just keeps getting better and better. It's a game that you can play forever, and is even better with friends. Truly a masterpiece.

A visually stunning retelling of Alice in Wonderland in the style of a souls game. I thought Ravenlok was quite charming, and I had fun playing through it, but I do have a couple of gripes with it:

1. The combat is fine, but doesn't feel very weighty. Your attacks don't have a lot of impact behind them, so fighting enemies doesn't feel amazing, but it's not bad at all.

2. I wish the game had some way to review dialogue with NPCs so you don't forget what you are supposed to be doing with certain quests.

3. All of the boss designs were really cool and unique, but they were all pretty easy. I never felt like I was challenged by any of them.

The game looks amazing, I love the voxel art style and aesthetic that they chose. The game is fun, and the story was pretty good even if it was a pretty standard Alice in Wonderland retelling. It could have benefitted from some more variety, challenge, and polish, but overall it was a good time.

Probably my favorite LEGO game that I have played, for a variety of reasons. I love the Marvel universe, and the roster of characters that they chose for the game is super diverse, with both iconic and obscure heroes and villains to choose from. The story was fun, and I really liked the overworld in this game, it was sprawling with lots to do, but didn't feel too big, like in the sequel. Gameplay was good as always in LEGO games, too. All around just a great time.

The best Just Cause game, simply because it has the best story, world, and gameplay loop. It's a game that feels extremely focused, with all of the systems in place working smoothly with each other. Visually vibrant, much better looking than the first two games, and also has more likeable characters, including improvements to Rico himself. And traversing around the map with the wingsuit just feels awesome. It's not a masterpiece or anything, but a huge improvement for the series, and just a great time overall.

An immaculate game that is incredible in every way. Visually gorgeous, with extremely impressive hand-drawn cels for all of the animation in the game. Incredible character and boss designs throughout the whole game. Lots of variety in the boss gameplay, at just the right amount of difficulty. Good player expression with all of the different options in terms of weapons and consumables, and the amazing parry system. And the MUSIC... pure bliss. It's just a marvel in every aspect. I really need to come back to this game and play the DLC.

Not as good as the first one, but still a good Lego game, with a robust amount of things to do. The story is a bit more out there, and the roster definitely has more deep cuts than the first, which is totally fine, but it's unfortunate that it had to be over some of the more iconic characters (X-Men and Fantastic Four), but I understand why. And after the main story, there is just so many side quests and collectibles to get, which, again, is a good thing, but I was really getting tired of it by the end. I did really like all of the DLC levels that were added to the game post-launch, though, I thought they were all interesting and unique. So yeah, another solid LEGO game.

This game is absolutely mediocre by itself, I definitely think public opinion of it gets carried by the modding scene on PC. Because playing this game on the 360 was painstakingly tedious.

For one, the main storyline is extremely short. Like, WAY shorter than I thought it would be, considering even the FIRST game has a longer story. There are only 10 main missions, and they can take less than an hour to beat, each. So in terms of narrative, it's almost nonexistent. Rico's characterization is not great in this game, either. He's just kind of an asshole, and that's it. Granted his character isn't all that complex in ANY game, but it was kind of off-putting here.

So, what else is there to do besides the main story? The FIFTY MILLION tiny little settlements to liberate on this ginormous map that should have been half the size that it is. The developers just copy-pasted the same menial tasks to do about 300 times across the map. Easily added about 50 hours of playtime to complete this thing, just doing the same thing over and over again, it was life-draining. I appreciate the developers making a huge, diverse map and adding "lots of stuff to do" on paper, but at least half of the time and effort they put into that aspect of the game should have gone into the main story, and some more diversity in side activities.

Past that, the game is just okay-looking, controls are fine but a bit clunky at times, and overall it's just a very generic game. I would recommend only really playing it on PC for the mods, as there's not much to it when the game is by itself.

I don't really remember anything about this game, probably that it was just fine. Probably could have been a bit shorter, as the gimmick starts to wear a bit thin by the end. Pretty much just fine.

I think this game is perfectly fine, I just mainly wish it was longer and had more gameplay variety. But, it's pretty and atmospheric, and the gameplay that is there is just fine, it serves its purpose.
