So much of this game was designed to be as unfun and time wasting as possible just to be hostile to the player. What killed it for me was that you could be flying on a glider and the game just takes it away out from under you after 60 seconds.

Definitely shows it's age in terms of gameplay compared to more modern Yakuza games. The game can be very stingy with money and character progression. So most of the game you feel underpowered because crafting costs a huge amount of money you never really get by playing normally. And two of the battle styles go obsolete very quickly as they do negligible damage.

More of a tech demo than a game. I don't care, I still had an good time with it, but it would be cool to see this fully fleshed out.

Starts off strong, but overstays its welcome. The plot is nothing spectacular, and there is way too much of it. By the end you just want it to be over. The combat took me a while to get the hang of, but its at least good enough that it helps get you through the end of the game.
