The story is the most controversial part about this game. Part II is a huge thematical shift from the first game which may have disrupted expectations. While it's not as well rounded as the first game's story in my opinion, the sequel is still tells an excellent story.

In every other aspect, Part II is a huge improvement over the first. A significantly better visual presentation and some of the best enemy AI I've seen in a video game.

Unfortunately, the main quest and voiced protagonist really holds back the RPG potential of this game. You no longer feel like you are playing your own character. The 4 choice dialogue system is a major regression.
