This was a blast beginning to end. My only complaint is at the time the Nintendo Switch was the only system I had the option of getting it for and while they did a great job of trying to downgrade the graphics to work there are times it looks really awful.

I still enjoyed the experience enough that I'm tempted to rebuy it on sale for the Xbox One now that I have that option.

Finished date is having beaten the main story, Aftermath story and Arcade modes for all DLC characters.

A very fun expansion that was thankfully included in the already-discounted Gold Edition of the game.

An extremely okay, simplified remake of Red and Blue.

Nintendo hits hard with yet another "What more could you want??" release for the Switch. Few games contain this much satisfying playtime between a story mode, unique arcade modes for every character AND multiplayer.

Very short but incredibly creative

I only bought this because the gold edition was on sale for like $15. I did not expect in a million years to love it as much as I did, but I really, really loved it.

Even before they started releasing booster courses, my attitude would've been "What more could you want?"

And then they started releasing Booster Courses and it only got better somehow.

"Finish" date is based on medaling in all courses and all speeds for the original courses on the Deluxe version.

If the post-story character unlock system was less of a nightmare, this would be the perfect start video game for kids.

I realized after my review of the Lego Movie 2 game that I am more generous to these games than most people on this site, but also most people seem to be adults playing by themselves?

I'm sorry, guys, but these are children's video games. They are very good by that standard. Great selection of characters, fun story, forgiving gameplay - just a great couch co-op for more seasoned gamers to play with their kids as an introduction.

I would not play this by myself as an adult and expect to have an amazing time.

My son's love of the Lego games on my very old Xbox 360 convinced my wife a Nintendo Switch would be a good investment so this was one of the first games we got after taking the dive into the current generation.

It's a really fun game and he STILL plays it on the go regularly long after we beat the main story and unlocked all the character together. I don't know that we'll ever 100% it but we're waaaaay up there.

Sure wish this was backwards compatible with Xbox One. Fun couch co-op but making sure all the Xbox 360 controllers have batteries is such a pain in the ass.

Another very good introductory game for young kids. The story is fun and the variety of characters is neat, but the process for unlocking characters after the story is beaten is a small nightmare.

Fantastic learner video game for kids.

This was the first game I beat completely with my son when he was 3 years old. It's very forgiving in terms of infinite lives with minimal repercussions, and the controls are simple enough that with patience and communication it was really able to feel like we were working together toward common goals.

We even went on to 100% it, making it one of the few games I've played to that degree.
