Probably the most brutal experience a kid from the 80s could have on their NES. Really wish someone would remake this sick, twisted little game with modern graphics and gameplay.

Fun, but not quite as fun as STS.

Pretty fun an addictive rouguelike, but as other have stated it seems to lean much farther into luck va skill. While all roguelikes have a luck element involved, it’s pretty dominant here. Still lots of fun as a time killer that you can play on the side while doing something else.

If you are a fan of the movie and the mood, this is a really great game honesty. The woods and atmosphere are truly creepy and the scares don’t feel cheap. Love the video camera gameplay. Cons are it can be a bit confusing as to why you are supposed to do and where to go. You’ll def be hitting up the internet for walkthroughs from time to time, but I have a bit of nostalgia for that so it’s doesn’t really bother me too much.

This should be right up my alley. The atmosphere and mood and pixel art are all dope. But when it comes down to actually playing it…I just can’t seem to get into it. Tried twice. I’ll give it a third and final go around Halloween to see if it will stick.

What others said about the story is true; but the survival aspects are pretty phenomenal at times. I do wish there was more customization as far as building goes but oh well. Must play if you love the genre.

This game is cheap, frustrating, tedious and ridiculously difficult in sections. Yet it’s story and atmosphere had this unexplainable effect on me that brought back memories of some of my favorite times gaming as a kid. This game is niche and hard to recommend…but I kinda loved it.

Desperately needs a working save function! Otherwise flawless.

Hard as fuck but love the concept and wish there were more clones out there.

STS is the king of game you’ll still be playing years and years after you first bought it. It is the undisputed peak of roguelite deck building.
