for the sake of this review (and my sanity) i’m going to pretend the eroguro elements of this game… don’t exist! :)
i love corpse party.
uncovering the mystery behind heavenly host academy, whether or not it’s possible to escape, as well as the fate of the main cast is extremely interesting to watch unfold.
it’s kind of like a slasher film… except ANYTHING can kill you. not just the armed man that’s chasing you for apparently no reason.

i never felt connected to the characters. it’s an honest shame, because the game is beautiful and conceptually very intriguing.

i’ve racked up nearly 1,000 hours in this game— so trust me when i say that it’s absolute horse shit. if you pick up the Sims 4 looking for substance, you’ll find CRUMBS of it the form of paid DLC. the modding community is the only reason this game is playable and fun.

The fanbase behind this particular Danganronpa entry is enough to knock down my review a half-star (ONLY a half-star though.) A lot of the twists in this one were extremely predictable as well. But I’ll give it to the last trial— That one really got me.
The characters, soundtrack, and aesthetics were as fun as always!

I’m rating this game in comparison to the other main series Danganronpa entries.

I’d say DR:THH excels in atmosphere and intrigue, SDR2 in story and characters (and fanservice), and DRv3 in gameplay and aesthetics.

Side note: I still remember the shock of watching Leon’s execution as if it were yesterday. Fucking brutal. Definitely my favorite execution in the series.

The only reason I’m rating this 4-stars is because I haven’t played it all the way through. But I’ve had a blast with what I have played. The characters and dialogue, the combat system, the exploration… It’s all extremely memorable and SO much fun.

The concept is godly... Farming with dinosaurs? Amazing! But the art style never grew on me (to say the least) and the NPCs are forgettable.

Cute, but the story is faaar too short for the price point. The NPCs are painfully bland and marriage is pointless.

Nothing groundbreaking, but definitely a breath of fresh air to the series.

Shiny hunting, PokeDex completion, and nostalgia are the only reasons to play this game.

The villagers lack a lot of personality in this entry, but the customization options are amazing.

Love the game! I just wish there was more to do.

Good, but a little bit too faithful to the original.
