good lord this review is cozy and really matches things in my philosophy for what can make a banger review.

idk if i'd ever need to write a review on thps because this review really elegantly summed up exactly why my favorite game in the series is my favorite game in the series. Marigold said it way better than i could let myself. this game lives up to the pro skater in its name and captures that behavior well in its modifications to the thps game design.

if you've been on this site a while, you probably came into this list expecting Detchibe. this is my favorite of theirs. read their stuff. they do all types of reviews, this one is really cool cuz it's just an immensely good traditional review on what WTF: Work Time Fun captures and does. you know those reviews that you are familiar with from other sites? your eurogamers and your hg101s? yeah this is like those reviews on those sites but like way better, and it's for a game that never has gotten its deserved attention.

if i ever play the original Dragon Quest, the exuberant enthusiasm of this review will almost surely help me love the game. i dont doubt that i would remember this review while playing it, and i say this as someone with a notably awful memory (what else wouldve drawn me to a site where i mostly just catalog-ize my thoughts)

either soon before or soon after (just checked; it was a decent bit before. lol) following mogchamp, i saw they put out this banger review of animal crossing wild world which urges you to play it. this is not echoed enough. wild world, despite its chunky presentation, is a peak life sim. the villagers talk like they really wanna make some new friends at a bar. my next review after my ethnography Animal Crossing retrospective was going to be a chilled out recommendation for wild world, but there's really no need now. this review is what my own would've aspired to be. it's just really pleasant to see that someone else sees Wild World in a similar way.

this will always be one of the wildest reads i've had on this site. this absurd concept resulted in a very solid encapsulation of the game's pecularities. Weatherby is always pulling off these oddball reviews with some subtly thoughtful ways of inducing a game's essence.

I've always loved lists like that, it's just so nice to see aprpeciation and loved for the work of others being shared. I'll be sure to read the reviews on here I haven't taken a look to, great list! :D
