Left 4 Dead 2 is a timeless masterpiece. I've only been playing it since 2021 and I already have over 500 hours logged on steam. It's a great game to just throw on and play with my friends whenever we're up for it and mods only make it even better. People still play this game to this very day, it averages around 20-30k any given day of the week which is incredible for a game that released 14 years ago.

Hey y'all, one last review to close off the year. And a new pfp too! Goat Simulator 3 isn't exactly what I had in mind for the last game I'd end up beating this year but after so many up and downs it feels fitting to end things with a funny 6/10 meme game.

In some ways Goat Simulator 3 is a definite step up from its predecessor. It looks better, the events and missions are much easier to find. There is a homebase where new stuff is added as you level up and complete the events. Where the first game feels a bit aimless, this one having an actual structure alone makes it much better and actually leads way to a surprisingly fun finale. There are still loads of hidden secrets and easter eggs to find so the huge crowd of hard boiled Goatcore folks won't have a reason to cry about it being too streamlined and casual (who are we kidding they're one of the most well known toxic fanbases anyways). All the new additions are good. It's fun to run around as some different animals - or otherwise - and the ragdoll physics are as fun as ever. The game is intentionally unpolished, but I rarely had bugs that didnt feel fully intended besides falling out of the map once or twice. My biggest complaint is that all the minigames are locked into co-op. I played this solo so I never got to try any. The fact there's no versions with AI or anything is a pretty big letdown.

The other downside to this game isn't really its fault. The variety of the DLCS in the first game is pretty inseparable to the package as a whole, and since this game just came out It doesn't feel entirely fair to have a final word on this yet. Assuming this game continues to get updated and expanded, I am looking forward to seeing if it can one day truly surpass the original. Or not? Really I'm just happy i got this for christmas I think owning a physical copy of this for PS5 is fuckin hilarious.

Happy New Year guys. I've promised a lot of reviews and I hope to continue to provide more as I continue my gaming adventures. I appreciate any and all of you that decide to stick with me. Re4... Spider Man 2..... man next year is gonna be great for gaming. Can't wait.

Thanks for reading <3

So fun. It brilliantly serves as an introduction to the PS5 and dualsense controller while also implementing unique gameplay areas that all utilize the controller differently; which is so fucking cool. I can't get over how good it feels to walk on a beach, shoot a bow, pull an object or do literally anything; no matter how minuscule the action is. It's sad to see that this is the only game on the PS5 that has used the controller this effectively 2 years in, especially since it completely transforms the experience into something that is 10x more immersive.

I also love the fact that they made an entire room filled with Playstation items, so nostalgic.

The first 40 or so minutes got me oddly hyped to play this because it was surprisingly fun with it's exaggerated moves and diverse locations but it quickly became a slog-fest with the amount of enemies you have to fight each level. There's an encounter every 20 seconds and they feel endless; especially when you're fighting the same 3 enemies over and over again with only a few moves, it got to the point where I was just spamming the most effective web attack because I couldn't be bothered anymore.

If they reduced the length of the game/added more moves, I would've bumped my rating up because the foundation is genuinely fun but there's just so much repetition and tedium here that I couldn't have more than 40 minutes of fun, and this is a 5 hour game...

The boss fights were definitely the highlight here, they're all unique (sort of) and they don't last long enough to become tiresome except for the Mysterio one; which was boring and anticlimactic, especially because it's the final one but that's probably just because I was ready for it to be over.

Oh my god, it's finally over... I can't believe I spent 70 hours on this boring, mind-numbing, SHIT STAIN of a game. Why did they do this? Why did they think it was okay to make you collect 1200 bricks when previous LEGO games only had up to 500? There's more planets and hubs here but they're all filled with rinse and repeat side quests and it makes me wonder if at any point during development, they thought to themselves "Is this a quality product?", the only thing that's even remotely commendable is that they built a new engine (which is thankfully MILES better than the previous one).

A huge pet peeve of mine when it comes to LEGO games are bland character rosters; when this game was coming out they heavily advertised the fact that it had 300+ characters and while that's true, only 60 or so are unique and have some sort of significance; because of this, it makes doing the side quests extremely tiresome as you know you're going to be getting another "extra" character that has no use at all. This isn't a new thing for LEGO games but man, I miss when they had amazing rosters with hundreds of characters that felt unique because of their designs and effects (such as the first LEGO Marvel Superheroes game and especially LEGO DC Supervillains). They were also so much more rewarding, I actively looked forward to unlocking the next Batman character or the next X-men character but there's no such thing here, it's all about getting the next G8-R3, R2-A6, R2-KT and the other 20 variants of the same character for each class. I understand that this isn't a Clone Wars game but not using any of those characters, really? they could've easily made this the best LEGO roster if they did because that show is a goldmine.

Besides characters and collectibles, the most important thing to me in a LEGO Star Wars game are the levels and I'm extremely disappointed to say that they're not good, like at all. They only implement them when there's a flying mission/boss fight, there's little to none in terms of actual open level design... and that's such a missed opportunity. I REALLY hope they don't continue to make levels like this in the future because this is probably the worst they've ever done it.

Overwatch 2 name is exaggeration. It should've Overwatch 1.2 or something because there isn't anything new aside from the some character model updates and three new characters. It easily could be an update for overwatch, not a ''new'' game with no rewards for playing. It's a lazy cash grab.

I’m samurai

What does this game have going for it? Well, half decent combat, great graphics/landscape... and that's pretty much it for me, I got nothing. The story is only interesting for the idea that a samurai has traditional customs when it comes to killing, and the Ghost of Tsushima has to break from tradition to kill an army. Other than that, the story is pretty bland because everything you're doing is caused by one thing and one thing only, the invasion of the Mongols. And no, you can't skip the cut scenes so yes you have to sit though every single piece of dialogue.

My biggest complaint with the combat has to be the dumbass 1v1 action sequences you have to go through fighting the "hardest" enemies in the game. What the actual fuck is up with being completely unable to avoid the red flash attacks. WHAT THE FUCK. WHY.

The combat was fun here and there, but where it's not fun is when you have to fight through literally WAVES of Mongols with the same exact strategy every time. Try to see who's hitting you, change to the right stance to stagger that enemy, parry or dodge, hit circle or hit triangle over and over. If you get the chance, you can hold triangle to hit the enemy but that is pretty similar to hitting circle because it's gonna take forever for you to kill, so you just default hit triangle every time. But, you can't hit triangle every time because some other guy will attack you when you're whipping another's ass. After you kill or get hit by someone else, rinse and repeat. The stealth combat is actually my preferred way to take down enemies because the sword combat is just such an absolute chore every time. Unless, that is, you have the upgrades that reward you for playing the game more. Ugh, I don't want to prolong playing the game to have the buffs that then make the game easier, and no I don't want to lower the difficulty either. Getting the power-ups would mean playing the side quests which in reality is just more monotonous combat and boring cut scenes.

got through the first main area and realized there was a shit ton more of it no thanks man

Suckerpunch finally finally redeemed themselves after inFamous Second Son. They gave away the multiplayer for free on PS Plus, but that doesn't matter because it comes with the base game.
