great story, horrible gameplay. would recommend watching a cutscene movie or something. feels like walking through molasses.

highly enjoyable, but one of those games i can't imagine playing without friends. significantly less fun without other people. holds up well.

i've technically never completed the main plot of this game but we all know that's not why people play skyrim. people play skyrim because there's some sort of timeless enjoyment to be had in it and modding the absolute shit out of it until it breaks.

it's fun but blizzard sucks

It was pretty cool in 2016, but now I just wish it would go away already.

I played this at church youth group a lot because the other kids were always playing Smash Bros Melee. I liked playing as peach. I'm trans now.

Growing up I always felt this was one of my favorite games, but it did not age well.
Playing this game recently, the controls force you to hold the controller with crab grip if you play on max difficulty. Most of the game is pretty easy up until one of the final bosses which is extremely hard to the point where you have to play perfectly.
The story is still good though.

Best Jojo game, one of my favorite fighting games. This game was made for fans, it's a perfectly crafted love letter. My only gripe is that there are THREE characters from Steel Ball Run, even though it had already ended, and was standing as the longest running Jojo part. I can only hope for another game like this.

I've owned this since launch or close to and I'm just now beating it fifteen years later. When I originally started up this most recent attempt, I thought my memories of this game being brutal in terms of difficulty were just hyperbolic thoughts remaining from my teens but no it really is ruthless at times.

There's a lot of satisfaction to be found here in various gameplay elements (exploring the island, building furniture for your cave, fishing, improving your cooking, hunting, etc.) if you can get past what feels like the full time job of taking care of your two characters. Dealing with the energy, hunger, and thirst bars is hanging over your head at all times but it gets easier to deal with it all in time. Will most people stick with this long enough to get into the groove for it to make island exploration/progress easier? Probably not but that's okay, it's an acquired taste.

I will say that the whole bit where you have to travel across pretty much the whole island to do a series of ten or so pushing block puzzles is absolutely wack. I made one attempt to do this whole gauntlet of mess and got back to my cave with 1% health, an empty hunger bar, and a low energy and thirst one. If I died at that point I probs would've just dropped the game completely. Not sure what the idea for that whole thing was but it's Bad.

Looking forward to returning to 2 and 3 eventually. Maybe the Wii game as well.

Don't think there's anything standout in this MP compared to the others. Even more flat/bland minigames here, and the whole Mega/Mini mechanic didn't do anything for me. Being Mega, you just bypass everything so there's little interaction other than stomping on people for a measly 10 coins. And being Mini, there's a solid chance you're not going to roll enough to reach the given Mini Pipe or event you're aiming for.
