Marvel's Spider-Man 2 nicely builds on top of its predecessors. The standout feature for me was the revamped combat mechanics, which seamlessly blend abilities, gadgets, and web-slinging into exhilarating combos. The addition of web wings brought a whole new dimension to traversal, making exploration feel even more fun.

Beyond the gameplay mechanics, the game's graphics are truly breathtaking, showcasing the power of the PS5 console. The fast travel system, in particular, is a game-changer, ensuring seamless transitions between locations without sacrificing immersion.

While the gameplay shines, the story falls slightly short of perfection. While well-designed and entertaining, it lacks the depth I had hoped for. However, this isn't unexpected, as storytelling has never been the strongest suit of the Marvel's Spider-Man series.

Overall, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 delivers an incredible gaming experience that I'm thrilled to have been a part of! Despite its narrative shortcomings, the game's engaging gameplay and stunning visuals make it a must-play for any fan of the series.

Originally released for the PlayStation in 1996, Resident Evil was a game that defined its era, being one of the pioneers of the survival horror genre. In summary, the game is set in a mansion in the forest near Raccoon City, where the Alpha team of S.T.A.R.S. investigates mysterious murders. Trapped inside the mansion infested with zombies and other monsters, players must unravel the secrets of the Umbrella Corporation while fighting for their survival.

From its tense and oppressive atmosphere to the puzzles that challenge players' minds, the game set a standard of excellence that inspired numerous later works, such as "The Last of Us" (2013), for example. The enhanced graphics and remastered audio of "Resident Evil HD Remaster" provide a great opportunity for players who, like me, didn't play the original version, to better appreciate one of the most influential titles in the history of video games, which helped bring the zombie theme back to the audiovisual scene.

Despite being a masterpiece, "Resident Evil," like many other games from decades ago, presents modern obstacles that are difficult to overcome. The movement and combat mechanics, based on fixed camera angles and tank controls, are a challenge for contemporary players accustomed to smoother and more intuitive systems. I gave up shortly after starting to play and went to YouTube to watch the rest. It was totally worth it.

"The Legend of Zelda" was released in 1986 for the Famicom and the NES, and it is considered one of the first open-world adventure videogames.

The game tells the story of Link, a young elf-like hero in his saga to rescue princess Zelda from the clutches of evil Ganon, who had stolen the Triforce of Power. To do that, he needs to retrieve the Triforce of Wisdom, which is fragmented in 8 pieces that are hidden in secret dungeons.

Having played it only almost 40 years after its release (in a Nintendo Switch in 2023), I found it very dated, with simple graphics and very repetitive sounds. Besides, the controls are pretty hard and the game hardly offers any instructions, which can be very frustrating.

I abandoned it even before the first dungeon and went to YouTube to watch the rest. And I didn't regret it, it was great to see young Link's adventure without losing so much time with pointless trial and error.

It absolutely was way ahead of the other videogames of its time. Throughout the journey, the player finds several types of items, equipments and creatures, in a map that is large and full of secrets.

"The Legend of Zelda" is a classic that is worth to appreciate because of its historical importance and influence over many games that came later, including the Zelda series, which continues to be one of the most popular and successful videogame series to this day.
