(note: this game was emulated with Proton on Linux because i am a massive dork)

okay this game isn't even out yet but i can already tell it has a lot of promise. i played the kickstarter demo and i just LOVE the amount of weird internet-style stuff going on with it. the graphics and animations are charming yet abstract, and the setting and character interactions just got me wanting more out of this. hopefully it comes out soonish! if you like ENA and also probably Monkey Island you should play this,

imagine an old slapstick looney tunes cartoon mixed with a choose-your-own-adventure book.

it's better than it sounds, i promise.

the amount of content this collection has is INSANE and if you love games that are more story-based and humor-based then you absolutely need to play through it. during my first playthrough i was sleep-deprived and yet i still absolutely laughed my ass off. recommended

the main story is good, but everything extra is a trial in platformer patience that i sadly do not have though. the characters and art style are fantastic though and i honestly recommend playing through just for them

i remember playing the predecessor to this game on yoyogames when i was a kid, and i remember really liking it despite being extremely clunky. so when i found out that it became a standalone game i was super psyched. the gameplay loop is great and the presentation is miles ahead of its predecessor. the only major downside though is that it's pretty grindy and the foods are kind of expensive. if it weren't for that this would probably be one of my favorite games, but it's kind of a big turn-off for me. ah well, at least the visuals are charming enough.

i like this game in theory, but in practice it gets kind of boring after a while? the gameplay can swerve wildly betweeen fun and stressful, depending on how complicated the meal you're making is. while this game does have more variety than CSD1 it has just as much grinding, if not more.

i like this game a lot but for me i probably play it once or twice a year if i'm really bored. maybe i should give csd3 a shot?

nifflas does it again! really, really cute and unique platformer. only main complaint is that it's kind of short

2018

i want to like this game. i really, really do. i'm just not a fan of the main gameplay loop relying on you to have knowledge of building a huge protected base even though you'll probably be raided before you finish it. a shame too, since i think the aesthetics of the game maps are so freakin' good.

honestly you're probably better off playing tarkov instead

william pugh davey wreden is a goddamn genius, apparently

it's a shame that both this and the stanley parable are the only good games crows crows crows has even put out
