this is an oldie but goldie, I recommend this to someone who's just starting to try out story games (with FPS mechanics). This story is well-written and amazing.

"Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back"

I knew I would like this game as soon as I watched the trailer for awhile.

Essentially, this narrative game is about a young woman - Sophie Roy - who works as a maid and becomes entangled in the drama of some hotel guests. Her goal is to do her job (obviously) while Nancy Drew-ing her way around the hotel rooms and figure out what's all the commotion about with the help of one of her coworkers.

I like the vibes of the game, it reminded me somehow of L.A Noire (which a great game btw). I just got disappointed with the animations of the characters they were a little deadpan which destroys the immersion of the game; even the lip-syncing was janky. The plot was interesting, but the ending didn't have a WOW factor to it.

However, I particularly appreciate the fact that most actions you take will have advantages and disadvantages throughout the story. So think carefully about your options!

At first glance, some of the gameplay didn't pique my interest, but holy sh*t, I wasn't expecting to enjoy the entire game.

The gameplay mechanic of having your lightness as your companion throughout the story is such a unique take on video games today. To be honest, some parts of the story continue to confuse me, but it is still a fantastic one. And the idea of making each chapter into a TV show episode is brilliant. I was always interested about the music that would be used at the end of each episode.

Also, I didn't like Alan Wake's voice; there's something about it that makes him sound bored, if not monotone. The rest of the characters, however, have better voice acting.

Throughout the game, I noticed that the majority of the locations to play are 80% forest maps, which becomes tedious after a while. But I'm glad they gave us breaks for it. And some of the enemies are a pain to deal with. They would sometimes just stun-lock me in a corner until I died.

Overall, despite being a 13-year-old game, I still enjoy the story, characters, and atmosphere. Cynthia is such a queen for having to build a bunker for herself; we love that.

I feel like this is one of DON'T NOD's weakest game right after LiS.
The plot of the game feels unpolished and rushed. There weren't any memorable characters since most of them lack personality.

However, I appreciate the concept of Sam's Mind Palace, and the way he applies it to critical thinking whenever you solving problems.

I was eating the f*ck out of the whole Tomb Raider series. She's such a badass.

This game has changed my life and will never fail to ball my eyes out. One of the best games I've played before, and now. I guess I could say that I've made better choices now than my first gameplay.

I love the additional changes they've made in this remastered, the facial expressions, the model haul and some, even the environment (I prefer the old Max and Kate model, the rest were fine).
I am just quite annoyed with the lighting throughout the game cause at some point the gameplay was unneccesarily dark. The soundtrack on this game is goated!

And yeah, just to let you know they didn't patch the Barn scene soft-lock-glitch. I had to redo that scene several times until it worked.

I'm a pussy at horror games so I find it difficult to finish it, plus I already seen someone play this so I don't think I will be finishing it.
The ending of the game was "interesting" but I feel meh about it.

Rosemary is slaying though.

If you wanna try a different take on action/adventure games, then you must check this out.
It has simple combat mechanics, well-written story, mesmerizing graphics, and a chef's kiss for the sound & music (I recommend playing this with headphones on). I know that the beginning part is tad bit confusing but once you get to know the play style of the game it wouldn't be much of a problem.
I'd say the whole game consists of 50% puzzle-type games, 30% fighting and 20% exploration.

Overall, I'd give this game an 8.5/10. I advice you to get it during a steam sale because it is worth a penny. I was never into Norse & Celtic Mythologies before, but this sparked a bit of interest on knowing several stories from them so you definitely should try.

And I couldn't wait for the next one, Senua's Saga!

(This is taken from my Steam review lol)

Elliot Page ate this up.

Mariana's death scarred me for life, even though I saw it coming

One of the comfort games I used to return to once every year. I like the idea of "time-travelling/time manipulation"

I don't remember when I played this, but the whole your-choice-affect-the-story gameplay is marvelous, you could literally play this in many ways. And I will be buying it and play again soon.

I like the vibes and the story of the game. The design for each boss is fantastic especially Skogsrå's design. Some of the boss fights were frustrating to do since you gotta sense how each of the moves and fights first before you beat it, I took a couple of tries of every boss. All I could say for this is that the controls were bad.
And it would've been way cooler if we have multiple endings.

It's good to be back with the Tekken Series, I'm inlove with all the characters, stage design, and soundtrack of this franchise.

I enjoyed the story mode. It was a tiny bit rushed, but it is all worth in the end. I am still baffled how everyone speaks a different language in this universe, yet they understand one another.
Loved all the new character designs (not you Nina) on this roster especially the True Form of Jin and Kazuya. And don't forget Jin's Angel Form, mesmerized by it.
And yes yes! The 3rd person beat-em-up style is back for the mid chapter of the Story. It has it's ups and lows but it was still favorable.

Not going to lie, it might just be my problem but I hated how some of the fighters were using 'Casual', 'Cute', 'Cool' outfits throughout the story mode. Like they could've made some of the characters wear appropriate attire during battlefield scenes. It was very clashing with the atmosphere and kinda broke my immersion. Speaking of immersion, I am still hoping for them to make the fighting scenarios realistic, by adding blood, marks, and bruises on their body. But hey, I guess they were also trying to make this game appropriate for younger audience, it would've been a cool addition.

Overall, I would never hate Tekken, its my childhood. I can't wait for what comes next in the story and also what extras would they add throughout the several years.

P.S. I will be waiting for that Jun Kazama redemption story!
