I tried to remember this game for years until it finally popped up somewhere. I never got too far, but I played the hell out of the first few levels.

Sank countless hours into this, my imagination filled in the blanks.

This was so insanely difficult.

What does one even need to say about this?

Rough playing it now, but it’s influence is undeniable.

One of the most important MMO experiences for me. I was 11 years old when this came out and it was such a magical experience for me. No doubt I added much to the world that wasn’t there and I’m sure time has painted a much more distinct portrait than was ever actually there, but shit I loved this game.

Far too complex for me, but I have some great memories doing some basic fetch quests and enjoying the soundtrack. I’m amazed at what this community does, but again, that has always been outside the scope of my playing. There was always a sense that the universe outside of my experience was truly massive and filled with a lot going on.

I think it’s god damn magical. Never sank a lot of hours into it, but I really loved it when I did play it.

I remember when this was mentioned on G4 tv as a new “free” game worth checking out. Such a wonderful and timeless game.

I used to play the hell out of this online. Using that ps2 network adapter was really a special experience.

Though the voice controls never worked too well, I loved the game.
