not perfect but this is probably the most I've enjoyed a pokemon game since bw2

hey do you want to watch a cutscene everytime you want to heal??, me neither

I started liking it ironically at the start, but what is good about the game (it's actually a lot) and the devs' passion for continuously learning from their mistakes and improving the game ended up striking a chord with me. Do pick it up sometime and give it a fair shot, it's only going to get better with time, too.

I played it with a friend and I would have won but he pushed me off and I was genuinely upset for about 5 minutes
Fuck you Kai

Gameplay's really great, especially when it clicks. Music's all great, environments are great, it's good shit.
The story's probably one of the best in anything I've played and it only gets more rewarding the more time you invest into understanding the characters and their motivations. I was sobbing by the end, good shit. A turning point in Monolith Soft's career as far as I'm concerned, it's probably the most finished product they've ever shipped. Fantastic game, I love it.
I'm only not giving it a 5 because of all the shitty gacha shit and arbitrary story blocks where you gotta grind your gacha pulls to get a party that has the right skills to let you advance
If there's like a emulated version or patch that takes that shit out it'd be a legit 10/10

Fight thugs, demons, skeletons, women

Atmosphere is dripping with good shit. Music is godlike, gameplay's refined to such a point despite being the first in a new generation of Megaten games. It's also not refined enough to where they took out all of the fun broken shit, so there's plenty of fun stuff to exploit.
Story's engaging enough to keep me playing and Dante being in it makes it even better.

Fuck puzzle boy

Didn't know how to feel about it. The first time I finished it I hated it. The more I thought about the full picture, context for this game (Covid development included), and where it sits in the entire series, all of the pieces fell together pretty quickly.
Gameplay's great, no levels is pretty shit but the enemy diversity and interesting boss fights makes up for it. The story was pretty great, too. The lighter tone makes sense with everything Travis has been through, and as a result the serious moments hit especially hard. I laughed out loud a few times, too.
I'm gonna miss you, Travis. Thanks for everything.

Hopefully the PC port fixes the graphics jesus christ

Kino
I felt engaged with the narrative for the first time in the series and appreciated the subversions throughout. Music's great. How it uses video games as a medium is pretty rad, and where it fits in the context of the entire series and Team Danganronpa's development with it makes it even better.
Ending is one of the most profound things in a game I've played. If someone tells you it's shit BECAUSE of the ending or that it "ruined the entire series", they didn't get it. Ignore their opinion on anything.
I cried a coupl of times
Despite having some of the most scumfuck unlikeable characters and THE worst case in the entire series, still something important and meaningful to me. It's hard for me to say, "it's worth it if you sit through the rest of the mediocre series," but that is how I feel about it.
Thanks, Danganronpa.

Another one of the three games tied for greatest game of all time.
