holy fucking shit i just bawled my eyes out

its genuinely a miracle that i enjoyed this game given that i didn't find the map until like 3/4 of the way in, like, i just kinda stumbled my way into every main progression powerup and had immense fun doing so. i didn't really care that i was so lost since the movement is so SMOOTH & the music fuckin ROCKS!

At first i kinda wished that each room had a bit more going on but i eventually found that these rooms come together into something grand on a macro scale. The shape of the room and the placement of walls IS what's going on! and its YOUR job as the player to figure out how to ping off one wall then another and get where you're trying to go. And maybe you're equipped for it, maybe not,, maybe you can tell the game WANTS you to have a powerup you don't yet have, and you stubbornly try again and again and eventually make it up/across by the skin of your teeth... just to be met with a shortcut to somewhere u already been to... I LOVE THAT SHIT

so yeah play this game if you like to get lost only to find yourself someplace familiar over and over and over also btw there"s bhopping!!!!!!!!

This review contains spoilers

lol u probably wouldn't get it.. its like, a game about games...

got killed by julianna 3 times and went into single player mode and then the game became fun

this is so sad cus i know the vibe they were going for but so much of this game is just staring at orange nothing

bruh its like dishonored but 2d!!

the shooting is fun. almost every weapon is weird and interesting in some way and fills a distinct niche. great story, great characters. i will say the progression is a bit too flag-based. sometimes you will need to speak to a specific npc multiple times in order to progress the story without being told thats what you need to do. other than that its a really solid and important game to indie history as its basically the first modern indie game.
