I have over 3000 hours on this. That speaks for itself.
Even after 14 years, I think I'd still consider this peak Pokemon. It's got a right balance for challenge, exploration, story, region, Pokemon variety, the lot.
Bugged to shit, but is still some of the most well-written games I've ever had the pleasure of playing. Also just ridiculously fun.
