i think 2 is the one more fondly remembered, it feels more like a full game somehow, though ive always lacked the ability to talk about fighting games critically (i think they are All Good). almost more a tech demo than anything else. i will say those flat shaded polygons, to me, as a kid, make the game look better, longer. like the lack of muddiness meant even when like tekken 3 was the new hotness my baby brain was still brought in by the bright colors and slick look of VF1
