this game was made to be miserable for me at every level. i hate the resource gathering, i hate the stealth, i hate the stamina bar, i hate the climbing, i hate the bow combat, i hate the story, and oh my god do i hate the weapon durability. i'll give it points for the cooking and horse taming, but that is it.

the amount of times i found a secret, got excited, and found out my prize was a sword that breaks in 2 hits is uncountable. if the open world is 90% prizes that will turn to dust in seconds then what's the point? the only treasure i could actually hope for was some cool looking armor because at least it doesn't break (crossing my fingers that botw2 has destructable clothing though)

I have never, in my life, played a game so fucking hostile to having fun.
