A very fun 2D mario game. I could make an argument in my head that this is possibly one of the very best 2D mario games. I think the new powerups and wonder flower mechanics are super fun, and the levels are very well designed. While playing this game, I did think at some points that the game is just too easy (yes I know that there is the secret world with difficult levels), but it was still very enjoyable. I played through the entire game in one night, and did my best to collect every wonder seed. This game made me want to go back and play more Mario games, which I think says something about it's fun factor. Overall a very enjoyable game that I could recommend to anyone.

In my opinion this could possibly be the greatest game ever made. I'm not quite sure what made FromSoftware take this route with a game after the smashing success of Dark Souls, but I am so glad they did. To me this is the pinnacle of that familiar FromSoftware way of storytelling through environments and clues. The atmosphere of the entire game is literally unbeatable, and the design of everything, from the monsters to the world itself is incredible. All of that on top of my favorite combat style of almost any game ever makes for one hell of an argument of GOAT status.
