not nearly as thematically interesting as 2 or as charming and compelling as the simplicity of 1, but the atmosphere and sound design create the scariest experience out of the original 3, and heather is a great protagonist who really stands out when compared to James and Harry. it's the weakest overall, but that's not saying much, and it alongside the other 2 are some of the best survival horror games made

yoshizawa kind of sucks, especially so considering how much screentime she gets shoehorned into
maruki was a good addition and made for the most well executed palace, with a ruler that isn't just a comical villain
akechi is great, and given much needed new content
i have a lot of minor issues and nitpicks with this game but it made me smile and i had fun :)
