I recently completed all days in v0.7, so I've seen most of what there is to experience for now. This game still has a long way to go before it's finished, but even it's current rough state, it's one of the most immersive and effective horror games I've ever played. It's still very buggy, poorly optimized and due for a lot of changes before a full release, but the core gameplay that's here right now is great and very addictive. It takes its time, allowing you to build up a routine doing your menial, daily tasks before things really start to change and begin to delve into the alien and supernatural. The slow pace and repetitive main objectives may not be for everyone, but it's incredibly effective in making you fall into a set routine, only to mess with you down the road. There's already an incredible amount of content with a heavy emphasis on player freedom and exploration to uncover the games many secrets, some of which are best left unseen.
It's best to go into this game with as little knowledge of it as possible, and experience everything it throws at you blind. It might take a while, but I'm waiting in anticipation for the next update. I can't wait to follow how this game grows in the future now.

There's a really solid foundation here, but this game is held back by so many fundamental issues that keep it from being anything more than okay. It can be really fun to throw shit around with telekinesis for a while, but the combat eventually becomes really stale. Enemies are damage sponges and eventually you won't even be using your gun, just hurling shit at endless waves of the same repeated mobs, only shooting when your energy is on cooldown. The art design here is phenomenal, and implements live action in genius ways, but nearly every area you explore looks identical, and the in game models look incredibly uncanny, it's honestly hilarious every time it cuts from a live action scene to their in game model that looks like them made out of clay. The story has some really interesting concepts, but I was mostly just interested in the facility, Dr. Darling and the stuff with Alan Wake. The main plot involving Jesse, her brother and the hiss feels incredibly half baked, and ends as soon as it feels like it's really picking up.
The game really wasn't that bad, but it really started wearing me down by the end with it's repetitive gameplay. I only played this because I was interested in continuing Alan Wake and heard there was stuff relating to the story in this game, and I can't really say it was worth it in that regard, but if you're interested I think you should check it out. Despite it's flaws, there's still a lot of fun to be had here, for a while at least.

There's so much to do in this game and it's all so fun to do. The satisfying and varied gameplay is complemented by the consistently engaging story, and I had a way better time with this than I was expecting. I'm really excited to check out the earlier games in this series now.

Some good horror and story ideas are present here but they're held back by some hamfisted symbolism and writing as well as some mediocre chase sequences. Great sound design and music tho, thank you Yamaoka. Nowhere near as good as the originals but this wasn't as bad as I had expected, It's free so if you like Silent Hill and have a PS5 check it out and at least give it a shot.
The suicide prevention warning in this game is practically a punchline

Not scary, not compelling, not animated well; just boring, uninspired, overly convoluted and needlessly dragged out, with some of the most irritating and thoughtless writing and dialogue I've ever seen in a game. Decent atmosphere and sound design can only carry you so far. The sh2 remake is doa

This game is a fantastic evolution for the series but has a lot of small issues and strange design choices that leave me a bit conflicted.
First off, Oatchi is way too strong. Any challenge that was present in the previous games' combat encounters is entirely gone in this game thanks to his charge, which is essentially an instant kill when you have more than 50 Pikmin riding along. Even just on his own, as you get more upgrades for him, he becomes a solo powerhouse. Their brute strength, combined with the ability to remove all Pikmin from nearby harm and trivialize all water encounters makes nearly all of the game a breeze. I love Oatchi but his inclusion (alongside the lack of respawning enemies) really makes this game too easy.
Plenty of other strange design choices bothered me throughout the game as well, such as constantly being forced to lock on when aiming, a feature which hindered me about as much as it helped me. I also don't understand why you're only allowed 3 types of Pikmin at a time in the game with the most variety. These features alongside the inclusion of the ability to automatically take out recommended Pikmin take away an incredible amount of player agency and decision-making that was a big part of the earlier games.
Despite these issues and a few other minor nitpicks I have, this game is so incredibly fun and varied that I can't help but love it. The overworld maps are the most expansive and fun to explore they've ever been, and I really like the style of caves in this game far more compared to the exhausting endurance challenges in 2. The gameplay stays interesting throughout thanks to the different fun styles of encounters present in the dandori challenges and battles, as well as the night encounters which break up the regular exploration nicely. I also loved the inclusion of Olimars mode in the post-game, being a more challenging experience following closely in style to the original game. This game looks incredible and is bursting with charm in its writing, design, and world, just like all the other games before. While I do feel it smooths away a lot of the edges and quirks I found so charming in the earlier entries and has far too easy of a main experience, this game is still incredibly fun and consistent, constantly giving the player satisfying new tasks and objectives to fulfill.
I have become the master of dandori.

Incredible upgrade from the first 2 games visually and mechanically, but why are the final bosses always so bad

Wish the actual game and story was as fun and fresh as the style and music. Gameplay is pretty satisfying, but it’s overly simplistic and way too easy. Many of the areas feel way too open and aimless, yet despite this, there's often times only a single way to actually progress through them, the mall and the island being the worst examples of this. The story starts out interesting, but quickly becomes way too dragged out, predictable, and doesn’t really have a satisfying conclusion. Style goes a long way in making a game, but I wish there was a bit more substance and polish Despite my issues though, I had a fun time, and I know I’m gonna be continuing to play the post game for a while, and I’ve already been listening to the soundtrack on repeat.

I think the first game is far better but this one has new pikmin and duracell battery so i guess it's pretty good too

Really fun half of the time the other half you want to kill yourself

I really appreciate how personal of a project this entire series must have been for the creator, but I really just don't think I'm the intended audience.
Lots of really creative stuff here and I love the art, but the story and dialogue are both kind of a mess. If I were still in middle school and horribly depressed I'd probably like this way more.

Tears of the Kingdom takes so many steps to improve upon the formula of its predecessor, but it also falls flat and feels so underwhelming in many different aspects.
I put over 100 hours into this game and was really impressed with a lot of the new content and tools the game gives you, but I feel it relies too heavily on the foundation Breath of the Wild provided and ends up failing to innovate in a really substantial way.
I'll write more of this later. Overall good game, but I have my problems with it.

Fun for what it is but I really hate the writing in this. Play if you really just want to play more no more heroes but you're better off just listening to the soundtrack on youtube.

Feels like it ended as soon as it was really starting to pick up. Incredible environments, atmosphere and presentation but I wish it was a bit more substantial. Might have to check out II.
