This is one of the most Sega, Sega games to ever have Sega'd.

I can see why people are so nostalgic for it, the god tier art design and godly soundtrack would last in peoples memories longer then the infuriatingly schizophrenic hit detection.
But playing it for the first time in 2023 is a bit rough. Fluctuates between a 1 star and a 5 star.

Colour me beyond hyped for the upcoming next gen release. The series has an unfathomable amount of potential.

Collected every Korok seed, and strangely I don't hate the game.

The game controls fine once you realise slapping the sides of the bongos is the more accurate way to clap.
I haven't regained feeling in my palms since however.

Hoverboards are cool as heck. It's a shame this series got two crap sequels.

Camp Omega is one of the best designed levels in all of video games.

Best of the Advance trilogy. I remember listening to the soundtrack endlessly on long car journeys.

1994

That opening cut scene with the ooze rabbit used to give me nightmares as a kid.

It's not a horror game. Don't be fooled.

Wholesome memories of playing this with my Mum in the mid 90-s helping her get past the tough levels. The first time the two of us saw the end credits it was a downright religious experience.

It truly was a classic. No deceptive naming here.
