Seems like you are just being edgy for the sake of it. Xenoblade is spectacular an unique, it's weird you can't see that as as fellow Chrono Cross / Persona 3 enjoyer.

yeah i dunno i feel like chrono cross was everything xenoblade wanted to be thematically, especially considering the team behind cross went on to form monolith soft
i should elucidate here that i think the first half of the game is pretty great and that the game has a lot going for it but it fumbles the back half so damned hard (and has some particularly offensive undertones to the political messages of its writing that i can't excuse) that i feel nothing but disappointment towards the game at large now in spite of its positive qualities
i think it's pretty ignorant to disregard a divergent opinion as "edgy" but hey, you do you

It's okay to have any opinion about a game mean it's your own opinion you can say whatever you want. But i always find it a bit petty to say people who really like a certain something just 'didn't consume enough of the medium to know what's good". Really elitist (especially when you like a lot of popular mainstream games). Just state your own opinions/analyze and don't jab at what others like.

xenokino took all the classic jrpg tropes and executed them to perfection. it actually gets better the more JRPGs you play because you realize how almost everything is better here than in the tried and true things. similar to dragon quest, another series pseuds shit on but is actually kino incarnate
