Best (only?) VR game. But I'm too scared to continue

Played it long after its original release, and I think it aged pretty badly. The story is great, the characters are complex and interesting, but the gameplay is just boring. I guess they were right to adapt it into a TV show, because you just want to get to the next cutscene.
