combat is rough with weirdly overtuned attack on both you and the enemy and everyone suddenly learned to attack kiryu at the same time instead of waiting for their turn but thats pretty much my only real issue.
game made me cry and it had me pointing at the screen everytime theres even a passing mention to yakuza 7. the finale is like yakuza 7 came back from vacation to kiss me on the mouth and apologise for the yakuza 5 final boss.

anyone who disregards trying this because of it being a change to rpg gameplay or the english dub is a damn fool denying themselves a downright fantastic game. top to bottom, front to back just pure enjoyment and ill always recommend to anyone regardless of their genre of choice.
maybe not perfect but very nearly close in my eyes.

its yakuza 2 but....
kiwami 2 is a weird one. the dragon engine looks beautiful and makes things look downright stunning in areas, and the cutscenes dont suffer as hard as kiwamis do with the awkward puppet movements and the combat is fun to fuck around with the physics objects and ragdolls but

theres just a really odd lack of soul or charm from this game that i really just cant describe. maybe it was never meant to be modernized or maybe its just the modern sheen that makes all the outdated bits REALLY stick out.

games runs like ass also
