Retroactively my game of the year 2016 because I played it later. One of the best indie games ever created, and that's saying something because on paper I dislike farming/life sim games. The way it pulls you in to just play 'one more day' is unmatched imo.

There is something about this game that makes humanity feel a little more worth it.

the perfect kart racer, but skill ceiling is so low it isn't as replayable as some earlier entries.

you can't go wrong with a good game of minecraft. undoubtedly better with friends. the updates mojang drops bore me, but they dont change the baseline of the game. as long as you can build a house and get a dog, it's gonna be good.

There is a reason this is the greatest selling game of all time. This is an experience that no one knew they wanted until it arrived and then everyone realized it was what they had been wanting all along. Also a huge accomplishment for such a simple looking game to grow into what it is - gameplay is king, not graphics.

no series has vibes as good as zelda, and I don't know that any zelda game has vibes as good as wind waker. love this version of hyrule and the way it evolved certain aspects of 3d zelda combat. best version ganondorf in the series.

tears of the kingdom needed to be so many things for so many people, so it was impossible for it to live up to all the expectations... but you CAN shield surf on mine cart tracks like they're grind rails so i'd say it was pretty good
