A great co-op horde shooter, with great humor, gameplay and visuals. It's one of those games where you get really into the idea of playing the part of the character.

Similar to Deep Rock Galactic, you are just doing your part.

It's not a 5/5 because it's online-only and the two weekends it has had since launch the servers have been full, due to their unexpected success with more than 200k concurrent players.

But other than that, the game's great.

To note: it's 40 dollars and you can buy ingame currency with real life money, so that's kinda not so good.

It's not pokemon with guns. It's ARK survival Evolved with pokemons. Even the progression system is lifted from Ark.

There's not a single original bone in this game, and I think that's ok. Even the UI is a ripoff of DEATH STRANDING of all things.

But as a survival game, it's quite enjoyable and much more approachable than Ark, Conan exiles, and maaaybe Valheim, because the whole point of the base is to have it automated by the pals.

Gameplaywise, it's serviceable at best, it takes ohours to get to a proper gun and everything in between the Bow and the handgun feels super slow.

It's a hit game just because of the memes, not because it's a great game.

DEMO REVIEW:

VERY interesting experience, the horror elements are pretty cool but didn't really get any RPG things during the demo.

If you like the original DOOM feel, silent hill and some really creepy stuff, you might like this one.

Played and didn't finish it, but it's probably the best looter-shooter game you can play right now since Destiny became a mess and Warframe is too grindy.

This scratches the Borderlands itch of getting wacky guns that do crazy things PLUS being able to add modifiers to them so they do other wacky stuff. Pretty fun and even better with friends.

Also it's not super grindy because most items and objects hide behind either secret paths, quests or bossfights, so you won't be grinding a single encounter for a low percentage drop. I feel like this game respects your time.

It's an excelent co op horror and comedy game, made by a single dev, where 9.9/10 things in the game work as intended.

I've only experienced one bug where some items got stuck on a wall.

Besides that the game works and runs as it should.

Some enemies are quite cheap and by design (in my opinion) are not fun or engaging to deal with
edit: as of patch 48, January 2023, some enemies have been tweaked to not be such an instant kill. For example, the thumper and Bracken haven been tweaked so you can manouver around them and even kill them, with enough coordination.

But even with those nitpicks I still love to play this game with my friends and we always have a great time playing it.

It's super modable and the community is adding great things, like some quality of life improvements.

I can always recommend this game as long as you are ok playing with you microphone on and play it with friends (however I played with randoms a couple of times and still had a good time)

I was able to have a couple of my LoL friends to play this.

I set up a custom loby and fucked around with the rules. The hardest we have laugh playing together, we ended up tired and our heads hurt.

Sadly the game is no longer new content but the devs are making a sequel, hopefully it keeps all the custom lobby things the original had because that's the best part of the game for me.

Excelent tribute to Max Payne 1 and 2. Full of personality and style.

That being said, is very direct on what it is so don't expect tons of content fluff.

You go in, you shoot stuff, you see a cutscene, and you repeat that again.

And I appreciate that.
