2020

it's alright. mostly it's just really cute.

i've never flip-flopped on a game so hard. i was lucky enough to not experience many bugs on launch, but still found the gameplay and writing to be underwhelming. i'm not sure what changed, but post-phantom liberty, post-patches, the game got so much less annoying to play that i started liking the writing more?? i think it's genuinely a good and fun game now?? i'm as confused as you are, but anyway it's a good game now, i think

my gf bought this for me, and the only times i play it are with her and usually 1 or 2 other people, and it's honestly very fun for a casual discord hangout situation. i can't see myself getting super deep into solo runs or anything, but it's a real great co-op vibing sort of thing

i like that you can mix and match a variety of modes and challenge parameters in this one, and the puzzle art was on par with their others.

it's no rf4.... :\

but on the other hand, it's no rf5 either! :)

i'm an easy mark for this one

ac6 is awesome, i can't wait to be in the mood to actually finish it....

it's my favorite street fighter game, but... it's no melty blood

it's kinda nice to play on steam deck. it's pretty mindless. they keep adding systems and stuff. you'll think "ok, i unlocked the restaurant staffing system, surely that's it" and then it throws a weapons dealer at you. that sort of thing keeps happening, for better or worse. this game either hooks you in completely, or you drop it after a handful of hours, and i was personally the latter.

a side-scrolling adventure narrative with a lot of heart. probably won't change your life, but it's worth a play.

the viewfinding part is so cool at first. you really do have to mute the voice volume though. no offense to the writers or actors, it's just so extremely not my thing and not what i was looking for here. i found that over time the novelty of the mechanic dropped off, and eventually so did i.

it's a battle network roguelike, does what it says on the tin, it's fun and fresh, and i had a good time playing it for a while!

neat concept! cute art! i don't wanna spoil anything. it only takes a couple hours to 100%, so if you like dark-yet-sweet stories, consider playing it

i looove the first oxenfree, but god is this one boring. and i just do not care about the characters. i really wish i did, i was so excited for this game. i marked it as shelved because i like to think i'll go back and finish it eventually, but i got about 7 hours in and just can't bring myself to pick it back up.
