Gameplay-wise, stands toe to toe with the best Metroidvanias. Clever powers, well designed progression, satisfying combat, absolutely massive map, and some great quality of life features that I hope are new standards for the genre.

Half a star off because the narrative fell pretty flat. If this game had a compelling story it would be 5/5.

Sometimes Nintendo makes a game just to remind everyone that they are still the best at what they do.

Ocarina of Time has been my favorite game of all time ever since childhood. I don't think anything will ever surpass it, but I think Breath of the Wild has managed to be its equal.

Adorable and chill little game about the imagination of children. Was a little too short. Surprisingly funny writing.

This is instantly one of my top 10 games of all time. It scratches a lot of itches for me. Its inspirations are obvious and all things I love: Zelda, Soulsborne, puzzle games, etc. It is a game full of secrets that fills me with a sense of discovery and mystery at all times, revealing things often that were hidden in plain sight all along. Solving the final puzzle in this game required me to bring out pen and paper (it's a rare delight for me when I do this and actually enjoy it) and the realizations along the way were probably the coolest video game experience I've had in a long time.

That said, the combat is a little disappointing. It's the least interesting part of the game, a little overly difficult at times, a little unresponsive, and in your way frequently. There's a reduced combat difficulty option that I strongly recommend, and there's a no fail mode that I used occasionally with no shame. That said, the rest of the game is so special that I'm only taking off half a star for it.

I recommend this game to anyone who is willing to think outside the box, they will be rewarded for it over and over.

The most "gamey" game I've played in years. It is incredibly readable, slick and satisfying. Levels take literally seconds (a few take 1-2 minutes and those are the LONG ones) so you can dip in and play this game for 10 minutes and make real progress. This game makes you feel like a speedrunner even if you have no skill at games like this. Also, it makes a great game to play while listening to a podcast or audiobook.

The writing is terrible, though. Part of me regrets watching all the cutscenes. The gameplay is so good, however, that I'm not taking a star off for that.

Absolutely loved it, but it went on a little long for what it is. The difficulty of the crusades (the roguelike side of it) is a little too high for some people who might enjoy the life-sim part of the game to handle. I also unlocked every single thing possible for the life-sim before I had beaten 3 of the 5 main bosses, so maintaining the cult was maybe a little too demanding.

Feels great to play though, love the art style, equal parts cute and horrifying, and definitely addictive. Would recommend.

Beautiful, unique, clever, doesn't overstay its welcome. Does a fantastic job making the cat control like a cat in adorable and smart ways. The story is a bit predictable though, and the game mechanics are pretty shallow. Everyone should check it out, but don't expect it to be game of the year.

Played a total of 155 hours, and will probably go back for more. Absolutely incredible
