I loved Holiday Star quite a bit, and is a decent followup to one of my favorite video games of all time

admittedly the amount of lampshading at the end was getting quite tedious and annoying, but The King's story was genuinely great and the side stories were interesting, so I can't say I'm too mad at it

I really do think this was the game that made me realize that what I want from Pokemon games is an entirely different thing from what most other 20somethings want out of Pokemon games. it comes off as "what if we put every Pokemon mechanic in one game" and the end result is an incredibly unfocused and bloated mess

half a star for Delta Gallade and its Mega which fucks severely

there's a LOT of extremes on the sentiments of this fangame, so I guess I'm gonna be the weirdo with a more neutral opinion

it's probably the best Pokemon fangame I can think of but it's still fairly okay and the lack of optimization hurts it quite a bit. there's a lot of neat concepts, interesting Pokemon, and nice characters that accompany some really good fanmade music, but I just don't think it gels well enough to be anything other than a game that's ultimately kind of stuck in Pokemon's past. call me evil or a youngster or whatever but I'd still recommend any post-Gen 5 official Pokemon game before Uranium

Sombra sweetheart we're working as hard as we can to make sure you get placed in a better game

I thought this was better than Robobot so I'm likely going to get executed on the town square. sorry.

it's a mobile game! that's really all there is to say about it really. cute pedometer tho

I still need to find a way to play this game without having to do it on my Wii U (yeah, I was one of those poor losers that backed the game for Wii U) but the worst part about this game is the really cool character designs that are never going to get out of this game and into something actually good

copying from my review of the Pokemon Sword expansion pass since these two are the same.

if these weren't $30 I would say these are absolutely mandatory for the average Pokemon fan to get the most out of Sword and Shield not just content wise but enjoyability wise too.

still need to finish Crown Tundra tho

Magolor I love you so much my precious little baby boy

decent enough FPS, definitely stands out to me due to its eye-catching art style

this was absolutely more fun with friends though. I think I probably would've been bored had I done this alone

this set of games vindicated my complete loathing of the Fire Emblem franchise. even from a distance you can tell that they made this and the other two games as a product. at least they waited until Three Houses was out before putting Byleth in Smash

you guys are way too mean about Turnabout Big Top outside of Moe being an annoying witness on the stand. he's cool otherwise

I don't know. I'd consider this entry on par with the original in some aspects, better in others, and worse in still others. at the end of the day, though, it's still a damn good game

it's a very laid back Kirby game even for Kirby games. and you know what? sometimes that's all you need

copying this from my Explorers of Time review... for the most part

a marked improvement over Red and Blue Rescue Team in every single way. the gameplay is what you'd expect in a Pokemon rougelike - get to the next floor, beat other Pokemon on the floor, and maybe find some treasures along the way...

but the story is what most people come to this series for, and this story is.... pretty good!! there's some high stakes and the characters are all great, even if I have some personal gripes about poor explanations throughout the story ("what's the Dimensional Scream? well in the future we used it to find Time Gears. oh it doesn't work that way in the present? well maybe it works differently here" with no elaboration or interest for the rest of the game).

anyways the Sky stuff. most of the mini-stories are about a bunch of characters that I'm really sure you cared about right guys, you really wanted to know about what Sunflora was doing in Spring Cave right,,,,

but the last one alone is honestly worth the slog. really completes the Explorers game storyline in a satisfying way. the little Shaymin village and the jukebox are also really nice additions. I really can't recommend its sibling games when Sky just goes above and beyond

still have to dock half a star for STILL doing Team Raiders dirty. if I didn't make a Gardevoir OC I probably would've harbored a grudge against Gardevoir for the rest of my life over the Team Charm episode
