i watched a video recently that claimed that every story and or media has a theme to it that extends beyond the narrative. this theme is not in the original text, it's a mere fabrication made up of the viewers interpretation to the work. class of '09 is obviously a piece of comedy, every line of dialogue has some quippy one liner, or makes you cringe like a lemon, but it also has a lot meaning you can put into it.
