Nintendo hasn't put this masterpiece of a gaming experience on their shitty online service because they're cowards who know it'll overshadow everything they could ever make.

A fun CG styled racing game featuring unicycles in a vriety of unique tracks that got put aside to obscuring thanks to a certain company not being cooperative with their lawsuit (yes, it's the desk lamp one).

Played a lot of this back in the day! Very unique racer, has a similar feeling of speed as Sonic the Hedgehog at its best, and it has a Tony Hawk-ish trick system that gives you speed boosts when you successfully land spins and flips. The soundtrack fits the game perfectly. Worth checking out!

I remember this game being fun as a kid and it had a killer soundtrack.

This is my favorite racing game on the SNES, and there hasn't been anything else quite like it.

You control a sentient unicycle with the drive to go as fast as possible while doing the sickest tricks. It only sounds weird if you're thinking too hard about it.

The controls make for a joyful experience, and racing against a friend takes it to another level. On top of that, there are stats being tracked, and plenty of stages to race on.

It's better than it has any right to be, and I will always remember how much fun it was to play.

Fun and a great distraction for short periods of time.

A neat idea of a game with fast and fun gameplay. Could use more content but the simple yet fun gameplay makes this one come reccomended.

i think this is my first video game ever

peak 90s energy, still really fun if you can play it locally, not online, the graphics wouldn't work over a stream

An absolute hidden gem of a title for the SNES. A really fun racing game with high emphasis on performing tricks that led to a lot of variety and challenge to its track design. Also had a fantastic soundtrack that really allowed you to get into the groove of its high-speed action.

A special "Fuck You" to Pixar in this review, whose unjust lawsuit caused Nintendo to pull the game from further production. Because of that, only a small amount of cartridges were ever made, effectively kneecapping its success and preventing Uniracers from ever seeing the light of day again. I've always felt lucky to have owned this wonderful game growing up.

Such a good game, its a shame it will never get ported or remade officially :(

fuck this game i got a draw in it against "bronson"

One of the best kept secrets of the Super Nintendo!

Unicycles. 2D racing. Ugly menus. It’s not something that screams hidden gem right away. But the more you play, the more the influences it had on future games like Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater or SSX Tricky start to seep in. It may not be polished. It may not be pretty. But its solid gameplay and skill ceiling will surprise you.

Pros: Great sense of speed with cool CGI visuals on fun tracks to do tricks on... Well, to a degree. The game is a 2D side-scrolling racer, where you play as an expressively animated unicycle, vs. another expressively animated unicycle (2-player split screen is a real fun time, btw!). It has a bit of an Excitebike style to it, where you do jumps and can move around midair, but you have to make the landing or else you fumble your speed, in fact, doing tricks in the air will make you get a speedburst if you make the landing. And that's the fun part, there's several button combinations to perform tricks, and it's a good time when you're getting it right.

Cons: But most of the time you're getting it wrong. Back when I played this game, I didn't realize the track colors indicated what type of turns and loops would be coming ahead (something only the manual tells you, apparently), and as a result, I failed a lot, and couldn't get very far in the game.

What it means to me: This was a common rent, I just really liked the style of this game as a kid, and it was a really great time multiplayer too. The CGI unicycles were cute and fun, and I loved anything CGI back in the early 90s, it was a novelty then, rarely saw it, so it hyped me up. But also just the visuals in general, the colors, the abstract patterns, it's a great, well, vibe. Good vibes here. Fun jammin' tracks, everything wigglin and wobblin, it's groovy! Not a very deep game that I fell in love with or anything, but certainly not a bad time.

Wasn't feeling it at first but this game it's kinda really good. Graphics, gameplay, music all hitting great. Only thing i can really complain about is how small the field of view is. Pull it back just a little and then we're cooking.

This is such a fun little game forever stuck on SNES

Just fun from top to bottom.

Rented it with my brother as a kid once. Our lives were never quite the same.

Never quite understood the hype. I get bored playing this game pretty fast, even in two player mode. It's fast, I will give it that, and the unicycles are beautifully animated. But besides that...

It's alright, Doesn't keep much attention for long periods though

Ha, always straining for a slightly wider field of view in most of these games, but this one especially.
