A short but surprisingly fun first person platformer that I just found randomly in my Steam library.

Short and simple platformer. Takes 10 minutes to beat

I saw Refunct recommended by others as a carefree platformer and that’s exactly what this is. It isn’t long running at roughly a half hour, but I enjoyed my time with it nonetheless.

In Refunct, you leap and bound from pillars that rise from the depths once you locate and hit a beam of light projecting from a button. That’s it. No real bells and whistles, just jumping around hitting buttons. None of them are particularly challenging (especially once you realize you can wall jump), but the mood is serene and relaxing making it that much more enjoyable.

There are collectibles to be found as well in the shape of Motherbox looking squares floating on platforms too. Inconsequential as they may be, it does provide another goal in this short game and seem to be where the achievements were stemming from mostly if that matters at all to you.

There really isn’t anything else to really say about Refunct. It’s a very chill game that one could use to break up the monotony of most major video game releases while not overstaying its welcome with the little there is in the game. If that sounds like a game you need in your life now or later, Refunct is a great pallet cleanser.

Very cute and appreciated game that's a great way to relax for 20 minutes, and has some little challenge for its speed achievements. Highly recommend as an ideal stocking stuffer.

Easy 3D platformer perfect for speedrunners, simple and worth the really low price.

Sempre quis jogar esse jogo no PC, mas joguei no xbox one mesmo, e eu gostei muito, via muito game play desse jogo em vídeos de comentários com lofi de fundo, e eu gostei muito de jogar esse jogo. Gamer Tag (nome no xbox): xTiuJow557

Fun game but incredibly short.

Muito criativo e bom de jogar. Porém curto.

Short and enjoyable. Fun to speedrun. Good use of an hour.

A surprisingly complex little game with a high skill ceiling. If you're into speedrunning, this can be a very relaxing and refreshing experience. Underrated.

Forgot I played this game. Super quick puzzle game to kill some time.

The shortest review of a small platformer. Nice, but not enough.

Самая короткая рецензия на маленький платфомер. Приятно, но мало.

spend half an hour jumping around on shit and have a great ol' time

It's short, but it was a pleasant experience for me overall.

A literal tech demo. To be fair, it's a good tech demo, but it's hard to judge this favorably compared to full games.

It's neat and it's free, but there's not really much else to it. Beating the game gives you a time and achievements trying to incentivize you to speedrun the game, but the movement just doesn't feel good enough to make it fun. It has a nice atmosphere, but it's not a very special experience.

I'm torn on this one. On the one hand, it strikes me very much as a "student's first game" sort of project, with very simple graphics, no story to speak of, minimal graphics, etc. On the other hand, it presents itself very well. The music is well-fitting and relaxing, of the sort of genre that I like, the graphics are crisp and the lighting makes it feel not repetetive despite it all just being the same blocks everywhere. I 100% completed it with all achievements and moving at a leisurely pace in only 26 minutes. I don't think I'm going to go back to it. If I'd bought this game on an impulse or heard it talked up somewhere and bought it at full price, I'd be upset with my purchase. But since I got it in a humble bundle full of other games I'd had my eye on, I'm kind of okay with it. I don't know if I agree with the "overwhelmingly positive" rating it's being given though. It's a good game, keep in mind, but the question being asked by this review system is if I would RECOMMEND it. And I'd have to say no. It's too bare-bones, too much like a student project or a freeware game. I enjoyed it, but I would not recommend it.

Chill game, very very short but quite replayable

This game is great, legit one of my fav runs I’ve ever done also

This is not a long game, but it perfectly achieves what it set out to do. Chill, satisfying movement and a moment to take a break and relax.

wirkt wie Kunstmist, aber hier hat mir alles gefallen.
Soundtrack, Stimmung, Länge PLOTTWIST! jaaa, den gibt es nämlich.
Wirklich ein süßes kleines Spiel.

Refunct was a fun little game that I found myself really enjoying. It was short, told a story, and then ended. There wasn't really any fluff in the story and it was very open-ended. You got to decide what the point of the gameplay was, and each new concept that was introduced through the short time-span of the game felt natural. Would love to see the game expanded upon, but I think it works as a standalone as well.

Been playing this game on and off for years speedrunning, even a pretty bad run comes in sub 3 mins and the basic route is easy and quick to learn.

If you've ever got a little bit of time to kill I'd reccomend it in a heartbeat, the visuals are simple yet beautiful and the soundtrack is breathtaking, 20/10 <3
