It's shocking how awful the single player campaign for Soul Calibur VI is, mainly because it's super dull and boring with it's level up, weapon, and morality systems. How this franchise went from one of the best single player fighting game experiences to one of the worst was a simple matter of adding a whole lot of everything for no reason, and being way to serious in tone.
The story mode was solid with cool ways to get to know all the characters. While the gameplay competitively is kinda decently fun, it's not really that much better than Tekken and overall isn't as fun as most 2D fighting games.
Hilde is the main reason I havent straight up given up on this game competitively since shes bae (and fun).

Pros - Zasalamel is back, and the character creator is just as good as 5.
Cons - It's the same as 5 just with different characters. You'd think since it came out late into the next generation, it would at least have better graphics than the last one (it also looks pretty much the same as 4, which came out EARLY in the previous gen). So yeah it's pretty lame, hopefully they'll make another and really overhaul it next time.
OH YEAH, and they got rid of the Devil Jin style and the hilarious "auto-generate a custom character" option when you select Random?!!!? WHAT THE HELL??????!??!?!?!!!!
However, a recent update finally added back the free keyboard chat for online lobbies, which makes it way more fun.

I haven't technically beaten this because I'm not considering it beaten until I completely finish the Libra of Soul story mode and it has a truly remarkable number of side quests.
I first fell in love with Soul Calibur 2 on the GameCube, enjoyed SC4 for what it was on Xbox 360, and knew I had to have this when I saw the Deluxe Edition on sale in the Xbox store for a measly $13.
This was an absolute steal at this price and I feel pretty certain I'm going to end up with at least 50 hours on this after I get an arcade stick.
My only complaints is that there are very few cut scenes and the cut scenes that exist are just in-game models doing in-game poses and it they look pretty awful. The overall gameplay system of Libra of Soul is fantastic though and FAR more enjoyable that the lazy text scrolls of SC4.
