Fuck all the Siegfraud fanboys who begged Namco to reset the timeline because they couldn’t handle a protag as goated as Patrokalos was

A PS2 game disguised as a PS4 game. The structure, mechanics, and gameplay all look and feel dated. Loading times and even the static images with voices narrating the story mode are reminiscent of older generations of games. Skip this game; there isn't much going on here

Soul Calibur is one of my favorite fighting games, I played a lot of the games and be able to grow attached to its great characters and bizzarre representation of "completely accurate historical events".

I am happy to confirm that Soul calibur 6 is one of the best entries in the franchise: it is able to resurrect the series after the weird the decision which led to SCV.
The gameplay is refined and merges a lot of the cool features that made it a classic in the first place. Brinngs back and even evolves the classical fighters while also bringing some great newcomers and exciting guest characters.

It has some flaws: the customization and the "Create a Character" mode is not as rich as previous titles, the story mode feels unrefined at times, and the weird decisions behind the roster size and DLC release raised a bunch of eyebrows at the time.

But aside from that, it is a blast, both alone and with friends. An really underrated Namco title. Big recommendations from me!

Really good and fun fighting game, and not that difficult to play. I think it's kind of meh that the main story doesn't have 3D cutscenes like the previous game, but I think it's understandable, since there's a huge variety of stories in this game, the creation mode is also very good, I loved the addition of the type of character you create ... but I think it lacked more varieties of equipment.

Ivy Valentine is the least of its problems. Her dominatrix whip play is a recognizable style if nothing else. But what are we to make of teenage Seong Mi-na’s pink silks and casual underboob? Or Talim’s my-first-bikini and fresh teen face? “Come on!” she says. Does the soul still burn?

Welcome back to the stage of history, player. Except it’s not the late 16th century, as the game would have it, or even the late 20th, when the stage was first set, but 2018. And in 2018, you can fuck off with that bullshit. It wasn’t OK before, but it takes a particular gall to double down now.

But that’s how these games are! But these girls kick ass! But it’s Japan! To which there can be only one response: anta baka?!?!

I do not trust this game. I don’t trust the sexist character designs. I don’t trust the forced drama of the reversal edge. I don’t trust the embarrassing writing in the campaigns. I don’t trust the ultra-conservatism of a moveset and gameflow that’s hardly changed in twenty years. I was there with my Dreamcast. I remember when this series was something new and exciting. Not this irrelevant has-been.

If some players want to reclaim Ivy or Taki or Sophitia, transform sexual objects into empowered subjects and make them their own, that’s great. Games avatars are flexible like that. But Soulcalibur VI is still sexist. And Soulcalibur VI still sucks.

Vou resumir para vocês:
1. Compra o jogo

NOTA:
Ryan Gosling Vs. Seong Mi-na com a camisa do flamengo / 10

If you are used to soul calibur combat that game has nothing new to offer to you, same mechanics, same strategies same combat, but hey....this game has geralt the witcher as a fighter so if it is not a good reason to play....i don't know what is.

this is a weird one for me. the game feels great and i can't think of any major faults but yet... i can't get into it like i did for previous games in the series.

Bought it for the character creator.

Story is sort of tacked on compared to previous entries (what I heard) but I enjoyed it. Customization is top notch and combat is really fun, the ridiculous characters you can make are amazing, I recommend this to anyone who was a little hesitant to SoulCalibur. I will say though, don't expect it to have as good dlc guest characters as previous entries, but 2B and Geralt from witcher are good inclusions!

Honestly, not too impressed. The main story was decent but the character campaigns were boring, repetitive, and not very well-written.

Soulcalibur. For some of us, it means fighting. For others, it means character creation. For the patricians of this crowd, it means… lust.

The long-running series has blessed us with another entry, with the quality and “assets” necessary to stand abreast with the rest of the games this beloved franchise has produced. Like a freshly-planted seed, embedded within the womb of a fertile colleen, Soulcalibur was forged from pure love from an endearing team who knew all the right spots to touch with their firm, rhythmic experience. Bringing us such beloved characters as Ivy, Taki, and Sophita among so many more, there’s a little of everything for us to bask in and appreciate, something that touches upon all of our desires, our cravings, our deep, dark fantasies.

The lads and lasses at Bandai-Namco did not disappoint with their latest entry, and is that a shock to anyone? After all, it’s got this show’s fan favorite 2B. Bless that mess that I confess to caress.

Enjoyment - 7/10
Difficulty - 4/10

Legacy fighting game franchise and the sixth instalment does not disappoint. Casual fun will be had here. Competitive play can be unforgiving with the ring out system. Nevertheless, this is still a great game!
🏆

i'm no soul calibur expert but this seems like a pretty direct improvement over 4. main flaw is having someone as boring as geralt for a guest character. we got fucking darth vader in 4 man come on

I dunno I think Soul Calibur is a ton of fun. Everyone is going wild about the character creator, while I'm more focused on the fact that the game is just actually enjoyable to play.

pretty generous of namco to include an entire, functional fighting game with their new funny character creator game

Character Builder:
This is GOATed. Like actually amazing levels of customization. That being said it'd be a better game if U could search other people's characters to download.

Story:
It's a pseudo remake / new timeline sequel to previous entries in the series. Not that impressive TBH.

Characters:
This has a pretty nice roster. It mostly includes characters from early SC titles. The guest characters are interesting picks. 2B specifically is one of my fav guest characters in the series.

Come for the refined combat system, stay for the ludicriously fun character creator

An exceedingly solid 3D fighter featuring its coolest characters locked behind an additional paywall.

Cassandra is locked as DLC in this game.

Bleh.

Mechanically this is a great game. If you're really that interested for some reason though, please just don't spend money on this.

Game felt unfinished and animations were a bit uncanny. But i had a good time with campaign and character creator mode.

it really is absurd how many different things have come from this character creator in particular

The best thing about this game is the custom fighters

Best story mode since II. I am too crappy at fighting games to play them online much, so it's nice to have a varied single player mode that presents you with fresh and interesting challenges.

Pretty fun! Much better than V in a lot of ways, the new characters are pretty cool.
