I have a hard time giving this a proper rating because its less of a game and more of a relaxing piece of art. Definitely not for everyone but I would reccomend at least swimming around for a few minutes to just chill out and look at fish, they are our friends. Probably one of the first vibe games, but don't quote me on that.
as someone who loves "ps1 game where you get to look at a pretty environment or interesting stuff" type games and marine biology i expected to love aquanaut's holiday, and i'm a little sad that i don't. while i love seeing these ps1 versions of some of my favorite creatures and there are some really neat things you can come across, i sadly find most of the exploration in aquanaut's holiday a bit bland without much to look at other than the fish for most of your time in the ocean. definitely not bad, but i didn't feel like i got what i had wanted out of the experience
