I liked this game when just going through the bad endings, I think the idea of changing character's personalities based on endings is interesting and fun, but I think once the meta stuff is introduced it loses me. Most of the true endings feel like they come out of nowhere or are just unsatisfying, both within the story and the theater itself. Some of the language feels kinda off for the story? I don't know how to describe it but hearing characters talk about "funny little guys" and "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING IN MY CASTLE" just feels odd? Overall it's an alright game premise, with a basic story and a mediocre ending.

Cara, esse jogo tem tudo que eu amo nos jogos, não tem como eu falar que não gosto dele. Ele tem diversas escolhas com diversos personagens diferentes e ele tem finais infelizes, que é algo bem diferente de se ver.
Toda a questão dos 4 personagens e das escolhas, das personalidades deles parece algo confuso quando se vê, mas garanto que jogando não é, é algo bem simples e fácil de entender, sendo bem de boa fazer todos os finais. Todos os finais do jogo são "tristes", o que eu acho muito legal a ideia de, mesmo mudando os fatores, o resultado é sempre o mesmo.
Em geral, eu amo esse jogo, seu único defeito é ser curto, mas dá pra saber porque, jogos de escolhas com diversos finais são bem difíceis de fazer, por isso eu aplaudo jogos assim. Se você gosta de jogos de escolha, você tem que jogar esse!

Las historias de un héroe, una doncella, un sicario y una lideresa demoníaca se cruzan en este jueguito de dos horas de duración en el que tú decides el final (que siempre acaba como el rosario de la aurora) alterando sus comportamientos al comienzo de cada partida. Único en su premisa y cuquísimo en su arte y en su historia, recomendado si buscáis algo corto, gracioso y con mucho corazón

A fun little read with a nice final true ending that completes the artistry of the work. I must admit however that the last section of the story prior to the true ending is really cheesy and cringey. I did enjoy the idea and the way the writing plays around with little details here and there was quite fun. I enjoyed the game overall, but it's not without its occasional mediocrities.

The gameplay starts off, but good gets kind of repetitive after a while, but the story makes it worth it. It starts off simple but intriguing with trying to figure out how all of these stories fit together. However, as you get further, it becomes increasingly clear what's going on. It's beautifully tragic and the ending makes everything feel worth it.

Bad End Theater is a short, enjoyable puzzle-based visual novel, where the player takes control of one of four characters who then play through a short sequence based around a fantasy hero/demon conflict. Gameplay takes the form of several text-based choices, which ultimately lead to one of the titular bad end(ing)s. The novel twist comes from the four characters each taking part in a given run, and once you've experienced a given choice as one character, you can set then behaviour that they follow before starting a run with a different character - and thereby experience a different path through the decision tree of outcomes. It's a neat mechanic that works well, especially as you gradually find different paths and then different decision points. Despite the inevitably bleak outcomes, it all plays out with a sense of fun - and maybe there's a 'true ending' in there somewhere? The lack of long-term depth limits the game's overall potential, but it's fun while it lasts.
Wanted to play something short and cute in the VN space and this definitely delivered. It's not really much of a puzzle game as it claims, but it doesn't need to be. It's cute and short enough for a single session and that's all it needs to be.

Wasted potential is the most I can say about this game. The art style is good and the ending spam concept is, while executed poorly, intriguing. The writing is pretty piss poor and felt shallow. The fourth wall breaking felt extremely forced and tried its hardest to be like Undertale, like almost to a T. Maybe if the dev spent more time on the game then grooming children, this could have been much better.
